I dare say this site will become much more important, and they may even bring down the old forums, after it's all out and people are working on mods and suchlike.

I think it will replace the old boards over time. Having a separate board for each game must be a pain.

I agree. Why would they have 2 seperate forums for one game? Well I guess they could, if they want to. Also, if people prefer the older one I guess they should be allowed to use what they prefer.
I think the social site is really good though.:)

They're probably planning a migration sooner or later. It says the "Bioware Social Network" after all, not just restricted to DA:O. But I prefer the old boards if only for the formatting, font and color. The colors blend into each other here and hurt my eyes.

I dont get why everthing is so bloated and funky looking. Formatting wise, I think the old DA ones were better. I do like the new features though.

If they wanted to keep the old site, I'm sure they could just have easily edited it. From past experiences, this will probably replace the old site.

It might not have been easy to add all the new features on top of an old forum software.

Yes! Small font, grey text on grey background, no colour variation (i.e. on the normal forum, one reply will have a black background, the next blue - same goes for topics.).

Hopefully BW will add some different layouts/themes somewhere down the road.

Considering the introduction of the old stickies, it's likely.

I prefer being able to see everyone's ugly mugs like they will appear in the game. This site is the shiznit.

I like the ability to use generated character appearances for your avatar here... but is it possible to look at these forums without signing in? - I haven't bothered to try yet, but if it's not possible, that's a big downside for attracting new membership.

At first I didn't think much of it other than a place to find content for DA:O, but I'm really starting to enjoy this more than DA:O General.

Given that they're offering incentives (free DLC) to encourage people to upload their characters here, and (as mentioned above) that the stickies are being moved over, I think it's very likely that the +5 axe will fall on the old forums sooner or later.

I like some things about it, but technically speaking, it's much messier than the old one. And, I don't think there's anything they can (easily) do about it, since it's based on the forum tech this site is using.

I like looking at the avatars. I hope this becomes the de facto forum for Dragon Age.

Other kinds of forum software may be more advanced than the current one, but I'm glad they're experimenting with this social network instead of the usual Company Website+Streamlined Forum combination. So yes, I hope everything will be moved here, eventually :)

At first glance the thread title looked like "Is this porn"
Look what Internet has done to me:?

However, i really like the new social site. This statement coming from someone wholeheartedly hating facebook and the likes. But i gotta say the option to upload your own characters is pretty neat.
Now add biographys and you've got me hooked

I find the old forum much easier to use, especially since here it seems difficult to interpret whether there are new replies in topics or not. Still, the social site has some great features going for it, so maybe once it's polished a little bit, it might be better than the old forum. I'd still like the visited page number to be of a different colour than the unread page number like it is on the ME forums...

lol!! Oh that made me chuckle ^_^

I don't think this will be only for Dragon Age so I expect future games to have their own sections here too. Now being an mmo player I find this site oddly like an MMO network site right along with player stats and equipment window... Is this partly in preparation of TOR?

Either way it's very cool, I like to see modder's info too in people's profiles.
