IIRC the DLC character being mentioned in the CE was just a mistake. I'll try to find the post.

Edit: Here it is, unless Priestly massively confused me.

How the hell can you mistakenly put "The Prothean - New DLC Character"? That's one hell of a typo!  The "mistake" was probably revealing it too early.

That picure shows Liara. With the aformentioned alternate appearence, hence the alternate appearence pack.......

That looks like Liara to me, her costume even has the same coat tail

It seems like all the possible love interests will be squaddies if Jack is available. Would Samara count? Which remind me, Kelly, better have kept my fish well fed or she's going to have some more dancing to do.

I really hope they bring back Wrex, or Grunt, or both, a Krogan is always cool to have around.

Jacob is confirmed to not return as either a fllt-time or temp-squadmate since nobody used him due to his weak skills.

Wrex is only a temp squadmate.

Grunt is clan Urdnot right? But Shepard is his battlemaster... maybe he'll be paired with Wrex for this game to keep the party size small.

I didn't realize how many love interests there were! And how much help will Thane be against Reapers while he's busy dying? He should take out aReaper a la Randy Quaid in Independence Day.

Well, I got three I wanted:

Ashley
Garrus
Tali

Liara, well, I'm not a fan of Biotics in general, so in terms of gameplay, I don't care about those kind of squadmates.
If you're not a Combat or Tech specialist:
"See that bench over there? Go and warm it up".

I was really hoping to get Grunt back, because I always have a Krogan on my ground team!
And I also wanted Legion as well, because he was my next favorite squadmate (for gameplay/ground team and popularity).

As for Subject Zero, she's not coming back in my playthrough!
She's dead and her corpse was blown up with the Collector Base.
"Go on, bring her back into the game from that!"  <cue evil laugh>

I hope that's something that I don't see again in ME3, being forced to take Squadmates you don't want (i.e: Subject Zero).

ME3 starts two months after the events of Arrival, so he's still kicking if he survived from ME2.

well casey said all Li are returning as squaddie but as already mentioned above by Dasher jacob wont be perm, so i guess miranda and thane are the last 2?

Two Krogans in my group, that wouldn't be a small group.

If what I have read in the past is accurate all previous surviving squadmates will be returning in some way in ME3 but the permament party selection will be a smaller size similar to ME1.

My guess is your anti-Reaper force will consist of the council races plus the Krogan,  the Quarians and/or the Geth.  I wouldn't be suprised if the team mirrors your alliance.

So to me the squad seems like it's missing a Krogan and a Geth.  Maybe a Rachn
