Does anyone know for sure if they are actually announcing more full time squad members at E3? I'm just curious. Hoping Miranda is going to pop up in the line-up, I'm not at all fussed about new characters, I'd rather they brought back more of the old ones and worked on their characters some more.
I think even with all the disagreements Mass Effect fans are known to have that it's a safe bet to say 95% of the fan base is with you on that one. That said, most games are built with the logic that there has to be a degree of 'new' in every aspect, including cast. So let's just hope James Vega is the only side effect of that angle and that he's a cool guy, but there's no way of knowing if he's it or if there are more.
Regardless, there's no official word on whether or not BioWare plans to show us more squadmates. I find it very important to note that Garrus and Liara were tagging along with Shepard in both demo locations, though -- not even Tali was with them, someone who has been confirmed as a returning squadmate. It seems that especially to the overall public, EA and BioWare are taking a slow-going approach to squadmate confirmation, so I'd be a bit surprised if we suddenly saw Miranda or Thane or what-have-you blatantly in Shepard's party later on today.
Surprised but thrilled, mind you. But we'll see.
