Hey, they didn't forget/merge Latvia! Awesome!

Though judging by the situation here right now.. it should be dead by that time from our crappy government and economic crisis going on right now.

I am British and I want to be part of Europe. The UK trades with Germany and France than all other countries combined, the UK relies on Europe to sustain it self.

I am glad, really. But as far as I know   the RL Politics is off-limits here. B)

Yep, completely agree. was just mentioning the general portaryal of the EU in the UK (Daily Mail, im looking at you <_<) and how lots of people would be unhappy if Europe became one country.  Just thought, how would the Daily Mail react to reapers? 'those damn machine gods, coming down here and destroying our jobs!'

United Europe is horrible decision for poorer regions of Europe.

Civil wars will happen for that and nationality waking.

But now that's too political.

Considering that the Balkan Peninsula was always unstable, I do not see how this is surprising at all. On an unrelated note, good to see the Czech Republic is still standing :D

I am actually shocked and appaled at the fact that we ain't Czechoslovakia again in the modern future!

Changing lots of things in Europe would be a political nightmare for Bioware though. You can get away with it with US and Canada being linked because those nations are friendly to each other. Europe may be united now but we've spent the last 1000 years killing each other, so im not surprised Europe is roughly the same as it is now

Aaaah, good old Sweden! Sweden must be the country you easily can spot and see most clearly in Europe. Looks like a dragon looking down on Earth! Only if the Norwegians gave themselves over to Sweden and we would have a complete dragon!

Damn you Norway!

That's NOTHING. The idiots behind Assassin's Creed used a modern map of Europe. Also, the cities were totally screwed up, with Moscow being in Poland or something like that. Now THAT was retarded.

The real thing that's messed up about that map is that it assumes borders in Europe and the surrounding area will be unchanged almost 200 years from now.:P

Pretty much this.  I was surprised to see most of the borders hadn't changed!  I mean, seriously, consider how much it has changed since, say, 1870:

That said, I think we all have high hopes that the century to come won't have many border-changing wars.  Cooperation between nations in Europe for the sake of peace and economic prosperity has kept things relatively stable, changes such as those mentioned in the OP notwithstanding.

*sigh*  And to think that I looked at that map and made a conscious decision to restrain myself from commenting on this from the other side...

They should've just shown Africa... borders change there on an annual or even monthly basis :pinched:... nobody would've noticed incorrect border markings then :P

Fair enough.  When it comes to matters like these, it's all too easy to sound political without trying.

I know that Europe wouldn't be one big nation at that point but it's rather odd that the borders have change so little.

I would. But at least they have a legit “IN THE FUTURE" excuse with ME.

Canada and Mexico.

It's now United States of North America( UNAS) and there was 2nd American Civil War because of that.
Also because of that UNAS was no longer strongest country in world.

Europe has been castrated by WWI and WWII. Can you imagine France declaring war on anybody? Neither can I.
