This might sound kinda dumb, but I intentionally limit myself to Steam downloads when I want to buy games. This is for a few reasons, mostly that the grand majority of games (including, might I add, both earlier Mass Effects) are available through it, and therefore, after downloading, I need to open one app to access them all instead of having icons clutter my desktop, wariness of the security of, say, OnLive, and some others. However, along comes ME3, and this "Origin" business. How does it work? Is it compatible with Steam? If not, will I be able to get it through Steam later, maybe closer to release? If so, will the DLC be included? If anyone can weigh in on this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Pre-order worries (not reporting a glitch, just need a clarification)

Origin is EA's wannabe version of Steam, so you can bet they'll do everything in their power to make it not compatible with a competitor's service.
