I think ME3 would benfit from a co-op style mulitplayer, kinda like Army of Two or Gears of War series

Agreed 9000%. It takes away dev time from a gamewhen it could be beter adding new content or things of that nature. PLEASE shut it about ME3 and mutliplayer. It will never happen, they said so themselves.

Why can't they just release a update after the game's release like Fable 2 did?

There is no multiplayer. Period.

Besides, the cutscenes would look rather strange having two Shepards running around.

Multiplayer makes a game turn from awesome to **** real quick.

Cooperative play is nice but they would need to work in some way for the 2nd and or 3rd player to use characters inside the game (Garrus / Tali / Liara etc) which would be very awkward....

No - leave it alone.

MULTIPLAYER makes the game last longer. USUALLY non-multiplayer games have great campaigns.

That's not even the point. It has nothing to do with "dev time" and allocating resources to that content or another (do you people even have any idea of how games are developed???)

No. It's about letting go of the notion that a video game should somehow forgo its basic premise for the sake of useless bull****. Something that's happening a lot with the industry these days apparently. It's not about allocating resources. It's about integrity and respecting the IP for what it is.
