I'm fine with shep's body build I don't need fshep being China and Mshep being Terminator.

Nobody is arguing for her to look that way.

Korean Special Forces -- women

Not big, not muscular, but deadly.

Their arms are still bigger than FemShep's, all I really care is they put some more meat on FemShep's bones, there's not enough.

This topic has a lot of silly ideas being repeated over the 10 pages.

First, you don't have to keep bringing up the Shadow Broker punch. When it comes to hand to hand combat, technique is more powerful than pure strength. None of us want Shepard to be a massive hulk, why would it matter that FemShep's arms were a couple of inches thicker when she punched the SB? It wouldn't make a difference - as the elite of the elite, Shepard doesn't need big muscles to do damage in a hand to hand situation. Same with the turians in Afterlife. Both Shepards take those turians out with one attack.

Also, we don't need to keep comparing real life female soldiers to science fiction female space marines...it's kind of pointless, considering how different the two roles are.

Keep in mind, this is just a cosmetic thing. It doesn't matter that much when Shepard is in armor, which is most of the game. We just want it believable, and it has nothing to do with Shepard needing muscles to punch big aliens, it's just that FemShep's current model looks weird.

I think people, especially around here, spend way too much time criticizing and scrutinizing over women's bodies.

It really stretches believability when you see femshep punching out Turians with bare fists or carrying Kaidan over her shoulders on Virmire.

Is she doing a fireman's carry?

If so, that isn't unrealistic at all. You can easily carry omeone who is much heavier than you with the fireman's carry, because of the way their weight is distributed across your shoulders.

The fireman's carry by the way, is the principle method military personnel are taught to carry wounded.

Honestly, up until Jacob (and now James), none of the males had ridiculous jacked up bodies, so personally I think it's a non issue.

It is rather uncanny. Halo: Reach also did this in an odd way, with arms/shoulders looking like sticks compared to their male counterparts (though the legs were equal...)

Have you seen how roided males are in games?

Yes, she is actually so I don't see a problem here either.

Cool, thanks.

It is definitely a non-issue then. Fem Shep could not only carry Kaidan in a fireman's carry, but could do it quite easily. You could take a woman who is 5'2 and 105 lbs and she should easily lift and carry a man who is twice her weight, if she's using the right technique.

The people who are arguing about Shepard one hitting Turians and punching the Shadow Broker. I hope you all know that even a badass Special forces operative today wouldn't really be able to hurt the Shadow Broker in hand to hand. Shepard as of ME2 is so ****ing cybernetically enhanced to the point where they can fight a krogan in hand to hand and it wouldn't be one sided. The only reason people like Zaeed and Garrus can take on badass Krogan in close quarters is due to the fact that they are used to fighting them.

The freaking Shadow Broker is from species that is not only more terrifying than the Krogan but far more intelligent. Any shepard able to fight a Yahg in hand to hand and not get pulverized is far from normal human to the point that augments are necessary.

But remember that Shepard is a cyborg. Practically every body part has had augmentations. Perhaps the mass isn't needed?

Kasumi has her shadow strike, and she's not exactly big.

I think a lot of people are making excuses for no good reason. When I made this thread, what I meant was that it would be more aesthetic for female Shepard to be more buff. It's not about reality, it's not about how it works. It's just about the fact that athletic people doing a lot of things that Shepard does, looks more natural. Male Shepard could also be as thin as female Shepard, because he doesn't need that mass too, yet he is in a more or less good form.

Oh and it's about other squad members as well.

Hey, how about a little mini-game aboard the Normandy where you can go to the weight room and work out. How you work out and how much you work out will affect your physique. And how much of Rupert's food you eat. Heck Rockstar did this in GTA San Andreas.

I dont think shep should be super large or anything but enough to believe she could actully do the things she does/did and nothing less then that.
Like her new model I Really feel they went the wrong way, I hope so much that you can change the body up somehow
Kasumi's like a ninja
And the cyborg thing with shepard and Not a robot, after the whole keeping shepard the way they were seems like a Cop out

Also not to sure on how being a cyborg works but im just guessing that you could still gain muscle mass.

Right but what alot of people are saying its that  punching force has nothing to with body build or strength.  Take Bruce Lee for example  he was little man  of lean cut musble but he could  drop a NFL linebacker in one punch.    Good example is   Muhammad  Ali  daughter Laila  you can put her in  dress and heels  and think she you everday woman  but step in the ring and you  wake hours later wondering what happened.

The two women fighting this picture are not  ripped by any standard but I would personal would not get to take a right hook from either one

Now to say that they need to work on Females Shephards walking animation and her animations in gerneral then yes but her build has nothing to do with her fight ability to hurt you.

They just need to add the "bionic" sound effect to the SB fight for both Shepards.

I think this is a good build for femshep:

* Let's not post the grotesque as it has been used too often in these forums *

Women in the picture have hands twice as big as FemShep, and actually have some other muscles.. lol

It is more about body tone and fighter skill than bulk muscle.
