I really like how forumites here are really always happy to accept the worst possible scenario as the truth, even though there is no evidence to suggest anything like that. Makes you think, really.

Is this the forum that we want Bioware to take feedback from?

It is confirmed twice that there won't be multiplayer.

Though Co-Op was never denied and that would be win.

Co-op would certainly add to the replayability, imo. I don't understand why everyone is against it.

Particularly when the single player portion looks pretty finalised and polished - so the argument its taking resources from the single player doesn't float.

That said - IF - they have decided to implement some kind of co-op / multiplayer and thats ther reason for the delay - I see no issue in taking an extra few months to polish / tweak the singple player as well. It could end up being better for everyone.

Lot of speculation there. But my points stand.

Like it or not Phaedon, it seems to me most the people here are whiners. They want the story of ME3 to be what the expect. They dont want huge suprises, they don't want really anything big. Ie Cerberus working with the Reapers, S/S options, new squadmates, Kinect support
No matter what bioware does, these people will continue to exist and cry and whine and hold their breath to get their way. Its who they are
The real people bioware gets feedback from is people like you, me and the more civil level headed individuals.
Either case, whining will ensue up to and past March 6th

I cant see multiplayer in ME3 being anything more then mediocre. No matter how much time they invest in it.   Thats why I hope they stay well clear.

Oh shut the **** up. You are worse then the whiner, you're the whiner who whines about the whiner. If Bioware got feedback from you, ME3 would be up **** creek. Your arrogance is absolutely astounding.

And Phaedon, if you haven't come across reasons on WHY any kind of MP is not wanted in ME3, then you have been oblivious to a very large variety of threads.

Oh Bioware, we had this discussion previously: you don't put multiplayer in ME3 and I stop the beatings! Look how far we had come too, such a shame for you to do this.
I'm afraid the beatings will have to resume.
For science.
You monster. /GladOs
(Joking aside, I'm interested in seeing if this I'd true or not, If so: I can see a sort of N7 marines fighting off Hordes of Reaper shock troops)

Sorry, OP, but your source is wrong. As you've already been told multiple times, Bioware has already denied this rumor twice now. If there was even the slightest chance that there would be a multiplayer element in the game, they wouldn't flat-out say 'no'.

im ok with that but don't had competitive multiplayer it would be to hard to balance but squad based mission are possible even easier to had a story to that just make it what happened to earth while sheppard was not there like 4 players playing human and their story is fighting reapers adding other race add some character developement some choice like team vote and individual choice
have to go work bye

1. They said that it will be announced at the end of the year so there is a good chance they are confusing it with a ME spin off

2. Considering the massive popularity this thread is going to get and the sensitivity of the subject, there is a good chance a dev will confirm/ dismiss that claim very soon

What are you on about. The only thing that this guy wants is for anyone who provides non-constructive criticism to shut up and cry elsewhere, how is that a bad thing.

And Phaedon, if you haven't come across reasons on WHY any kind of MP is not wanted in ME3, then you have been oblivious to a very large variety of threads.

Because it didn't work out.

That's what Hudson said, twice.

When was the last time Hudson said no MP? The last info I can find is from April 8th, before the delay.
Edit: Anyone has a later source?

For goodness sake this community is a bit ridiculous sometimes.

Look it's been confirmed by Casey Hudson TWICE! That there is no Multiplayer in Mass Effect 3 and being how he's the head of the entire project I would think he would know a thing or two about the game. ;)

Plus he's a pretty cool nice guy, so I trust his word over a random source anyday of the week.

He also tweeted about it,later, but we didn't bother posting on the Features thread as it was considered certain at that point.

Squad-based, team oriented multi-FPS could work if it's made to same standard as BF2/3. But BW aren't renowned for that so, no MP in ME3.

I couldn't find it in his twitter timeline, do you remember roughly what he wrote?

Edit @Sheepie Crusher:
Your source states:

Mag: Mass Effect 3 will have multiplayer?

Bioware: We’ve always wanted to include it, since the first Mass Effect. Explore ways to be able to offer for each delivery, but [we're not] fully convinced of the solutions we have found so far.

Not exactly a no-MP statement IMO.
Edit: If I understand you correctly

MP in these sort of games can go two ways IMO.
Take Dead Space, MP was seen as sort of 'natural addition' to it, the MP in that had a good idea of monster types vs standard third person shooter, but ultimately fell kinda flat for me. Dead Space didn't need it, and whilst there were some interesting ideas there, I think they tried to market it too much to the Gears crowd (FYI, I frelling love gears campaign and MP)
On the other hand, look at Assasins Creed: Brotherhood. It didn't need MP either. People doubted it could work, some lambasted it for even trying. But eventually it was proven that not only can it work, but it can work so well.
Mass Effect has some ideas behind it that could work well in MP, and others that wouldn't (power wheel pausing) whether Bioware decide to do something about it, especially as they've been focusing on the combat more, is something only they know.
Just keep in mind that some times it can work spectacularly.
For now, let's all knish our teeth, speculate, pout and calibrate until an official response (again!)
