By now most have seen the contents of the collectors edition which includes a exclusive appearance pack which leads me to wonder if squad armor customization will once again be limited to switching between two or three differently colored sets of the same armor instead of being customizable like Shepards.

its annoying. granted some of the armors look cool but they tacked on static over the top bonuses. each suit tends to have a 25% bonus to something be it shields, cool down, weapon damage, or power damage. makes it very annoying as youre stuck with a certain armor due to its bonus than what it looks like. been lucky so far as ive liked the look/bonus combo's ive been using so far but still...

Well, it'll be just like ME1 than I guess, switch between this suit of armor, or this exact same looking suit of armor but with yellow and black instead of blue and white.
All jokes aside, if it wasn't in the shiped game, than you aren't getting a color custimization type thing in this game. More outfits are always appreciated though.

This was definitely a draw back of the alternate armors, sometimes picking the armor you wanted meant sacrificing the bonus you needed.

Sometimes I wish they would just
1) Make armour purely cosmetic like squadmates
or
2) Introduce scaling versions, like Terminus Armour of the Hawk, or of the Bear with different stats
