1)  No 'power corrupts' Liara.  Because power doesn't always corrupt and that trope needs to die. 
2)  Liara needs to continue on being her own independent woman and not have to 'lean' on Shepard.

I think you have nothing to worry about.

Though, I think some leaning is alright, as long as it's not "Oh, my hero. You're so superior. I'm useless without you. Decide my future career path, for I can't make my own decisions."

Oh yeah, I agree with that.  Liara's not completely cold or anything. Liara is at least friends with Shepard (and possibly lovers) so emotional support is okay as long as it's not taken to the extreme.

You're missing my point. If they made her ME3 model to look more like she did in LOTSB, then it would still be consistent. By going back to ME1, it's LOTSB that stands out as the inconsistent one, and stands out for it.

I thought her LotSB one was always the incosistent one? Not that I care, I prefer it more than her other looks.

I'm just saying, it wouldn't stand out as the main inconsistent one if they kept up with that look. But by going back, it's just becomes some weird brief moment in time when Liara was radically different.

Yeah, relationships are suppose to be give and take. Not one sided where one makes decisions, and the other has no input or stand. They both should support and depend on eachother as equals. Not a relationship ruled by dominance.

ME3 looks more natural. All the characters look like they've had their textures upgraded and look much more realistic. If Liara looked in ME3 like she did in LotSB she'd look like a cartoon character. I always preferred the Illium look of her anyway, only if it was as high-res as the LotSB one.

I like the ME3 look, I didn't really care for the LotSB look because she simply changed too much between her office scene and when you met up with her at the tower.

I think the ME3 look is more of a refinement of the ME1 look, and it works, in my opinion.

Either way works just fine for me. It's not like a pink lipstick brings +10 to Charm or something.

I too want those ultra blue eyes to stay. Those were awesome on her.
