The women have armor. Just not over their cleavage, which is incidentally where their heart is. So they are wearing custom armor to look sexy at the cost of covering a vital part of their body. Seems rather out of character for a soldier or a scientist to make a silly decision like that.MrGone wrote...

Yeah I'm not wild about it either. At least two characters (one who used to be a soldier and one who used to be a scientist) are now "sex bombs" with useless holes in their armor. Awesome treatment of your female characters.
I don't know why everyone gets into such a huff over armor.
A) The kinetic barriers are obviously small devices that can be built into clothing - as seen in ME 1 on light armor. That armor is VERY thin.Notice how usually in stories the more armor someone has, the LESS useful it is? Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie = No Armor. The hundred of Stormtroopers they've slaughtered = Armor.

I think the "all men love big ******" stereotype needs to die already. So no, you don't sound unmanly.
You're going to have to rewrite about 10,000 years of history if you want that one to change. Men have been worshipping big boobs since we lived in caves.
And yes some people won't prefer 'em. But as Mordin Solus himself once said "of course outliers in any race.".
Yeah, big boobs and big ol' bellies. Clearly nothing has changed in 10,000 years.

Well . . . not necessarily for a scientist. They aren't generally known to be great front-line soldiers.
But again, it doesn't really matter. Kinetic Barriers are the REAL armor, and they cover their entire bodies. The rest is just ceremonial.
Now complaining about helmets in a vacuum. I'm down with those issues.
It just DOESN'T MAKE SENSE to wear a little breather when in a vacuum!

No, not really. Tubby women get lots of action if they put themselves out there and look for the guys who like them. It's the skinny women who make them feel bad about their weight. Guys are down with women because they're women. End of story.
Unless they're gay, but then, that's pretty obvious.

I agree though that it's pretty unrealistic to have evry female sport big breasts though, specially being fit and thus having a low percentage of body fat, but hey it's the future right? Maybe it works differently.

At this point its been established that people don't need to wear full body armor to survive, especially biotics (ask Jack). Mordin seems to be just wearing a lab coat.
Also I'll just throw my hat in with the ME2 design. I prefer the paler blue. I see I'm apperently in the minority though so I'm ok if they stick to deep blue.

Eh, humans are pretty complicated animals. There are plenty of men that don't prefer the thick, fertile body type that we should as animals prefer. Humans haven't been listening to what nature wants us to do for quite a while.Creid-X wrote...
The big breasts stuff isn't just social, males see big breasts as a good trait in females because on a subconscious level, they think they are better suited to feed their offspring, and thus their genes have a better chance of perpetuating, that's how eveolution works.

I know, i was just pointing out there's an evolutionary logic reason as of why men have prefered big breasts thoughout history beyond "HEY GAIZ, BOOBIEZ!!!!!111" you can see how societies back to the dawn of our species had pieces of art such as the Venus of Willendorf that represented big breats and wide waists as traits of fertility etc...of course there are MANY men that don't like big breasts specially if they like fit girls, the big breats thin waist stereortype is indeed a social thing and seldom true.Dangerfoot wrote...

We have to take account however that games' models are usually an idealization of reality and both female and male bodies are modeled to what society generally perceives as atractive.

Hm, maybe the lighting just made her shirt blend with her skin, causing me to gender-rage prematurely. If so, that still leaves Ashley who has a silly need to be sexy on the battlefield, but since I've never been a huge Ashley fan I guess I'll take it.
Looking at the screns (for Kaiden) I bet that what happens is that Bioware probably implemented armour in battle + clothing on ships again. So the ++hot Ashley skintight suit comes from being on the normandy.

And was completely stunning (in a non supermodel way) in LOTSB. She looked alive and full of character again.
I noticed the regression during the ME3 demo. I REALLY hope they get rid of the pink lipstick. It looks tacky and...blarggg.
Bring the blue back!

Agreed - she didn't really need any alterations. But who knows, maybe it is a placeholder.
