So yeah the title says it all, will PC gamers have the ability to properly use AMD Eyefinity and/or Nvidia Surround this time round?
Previously we had to have our monitors in a portrait mode to get the triple monitor solution to work with ME2. But many of us (myself included) don't have that option. So will we see full support for AMD Eyefinity and/or Nvidia Surround support like Dragon Age 2?
Thank you in advance
Kind regards

This is a good question actually. So here is a courtesy bump.
Also, with ME3 capturing every bit of attention around at the moment, it would be crazy for BioWares traditional partner in AMD to not give a little nudge nudge, wink wink in that regard. But seeing as its all xbox focus at the moment, probably won't here about that kind of support for a while.

Yeah also, I wonder if the devs *may* throw a bone for us PC players and give us at least a hi res texture pack this time around? I'd love to see some DX11 features as well but I doubt it.

Yes lately EA and AMD have been pretty close so I don't see why AMD wouldn't want to be showing their unyielding support for one of the Best Action RPGs of next year. AMD have been pretty aggressive lately when it comes to supporting games (Deus Ex, DA2, even Medal of Honor last year to name a few) so I don't see why the wouldn't.

I would also like 7.1 surround sound. FEAR uses my surround sound but ME2 doesn't. I lose 2 channels and they are two of the voice channels.

I just hope for high-res textures and a better interface this time. I don't expect DX11 tech or nVidia Surround. Would be a nice as a sign of PC support though.

Yeah DX11 is too much to ask I think. But some Hi-Res Textures in DX9 wouldn't be bad at all.
But yes a sign of PC support would be really, really nice. Make it happen Bioware! Please

Just bumping this up seeing as how we still haven't got an answer and it got lost in the shuffle.

As for DX11: UDK Beta just added that this March, so I think it's too late for ME3. (Edit: Didn't ME2 on PS3 already use the ME3 engine?)

Yep is sure did which means they've been done with it for a while.
Still some Hi-res DX9 textures, Eyefinity and some PC specific controls would be great in my books. As a PC gamer I'll take what I can get now days and I even thinks that's a lot to ask for considering Bioware's main platform is the Xbox.

Wow not the best necro I've seen but what can you do? =P
I guess it's best to keep all discussion about this topic in one thread.

so much for Bioware support, 5 months and still no answer on this,
Bioware games are the only ones that do not support 5700 x 1080 in landscape mode. Everyone else supports this, I'm not going to change my setup for 1 game
just having 1 third of the screen displayed is a bit pointless,

And I greatly enjoy gaming with multiple monitors. Which is why I would be glad to see Eyefinity and Surround support. But I don't think it is likely.

Revive, revive, I want to see if any news can be shared on this. I too face the situation shared on this thread, having 3 1080p monitors in landscape. Would love to have Eyefinity or nVidia Surround (my current setup) working its expensive butt off.
Also, as others mentioned higher textures for PC are highly needed. Prop to all the fans out there doing bioware's work and showing PC gamers some love, but i would really want to get those out of the box in ME3. Also, cut-scenes in ME1 were best as they were rendered live most of the time and looked nice and sharp. In ME2 i was disappointed by the low quality cinematics at key points of the game.
If you have an opinion on those points too, go to my recent poll and submit comments/votes.

I would like to have some news on Eyefinity as well. Even a "definitely not going to be supported" would help making purchasing decisions regarding hardware.

At least high res textures for the armor! Nothing worse than highly detailed faces right above PS2 level textured armor.

Made a small fix for the game. You can find it here:

Also ME2 has now a fix (I know Is far from perfect) but is the only one. You can also find it on the same site;))
Best Regard!
