Not every country in the world has access to the Store-brand exclusive content, which will basically have the same effect as the "epic community event". Lots of shouting, and displeasure from those who are no longer viewed as being part ofthe community.

Maybe a compromise: you can buy the exclusives for other stores as DLC. Perhaps as a marketing ploy, BioWare waits a month to release the DLC for those items. They still get the boost, and players aren't denied items they want because they couldn't get their preorder.

Not entirely true. EA's Origin is also currently selling a Digital Deluxe edition. But since its the same price as the Collector Edition, and gives you less, the CE is the much smarter value.
