The sad thing about it if we can believe casey hudson, we probably won't see such a colossal project again for a very long time and from bioware specifically maybe never again.

The best? That's arguable, that said it'll probably be one of the most significant videogame series for quite some time. The thing they tried to accomplish with it are quite remarkable.

Yeah that comment to Gameinformer he made awhile back dismayed me... I was hoping for the opposite, that they would make all their future games into lengthy connected series similar to Mass Effect where where our character's history and choices carry over.
I actually have a very hard time playing other games now because I don't feel anywhere near as connected as I do to Shepard and certain members of her crew due to the history I got to forge through the series... all other games feel shallow in comparison to me now... and the thought that they likely won't make a trilogy like that again (where the character & npcs transfer over) makes me a very very sad gamer.

Bioware (and EA) would be worse than moronic if they'd stop making games people adore; though I wouldn't complain if they come up with a Mass Effect-ish trilogy put in one 100+ hours game

10 months of people to bleat about how they hate kinect, hate the fact that Ashley has long hair and is not wearing plate mail, deride the game for lack of rpg elements, deride the game for too many rpg elements, complain that everything looks the same, complain that the omni tool is now a melee weapon, complain that their favourite character is not a squad mate, complain that other characters are in the game and it's all one big retcon. Complain that Meer is not doing a good job of voice acting, Complain that there is a Krogan 'Princess', complain that Cerberus is no longer our buddy. Complain that the left headlight on the Normandy is different than it was in the previous game.

Mass Effects 1, 2, and three added together are still less total play time than Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.
Play time is not what makes a game epic. I could easily make a four million hour game with randomly generated maps and mobs.

All of those things I listed happened in about hour one of day one of 'the big reveal'. I know you love to express your numerous opinions of how craptacular things are but believe me it all gets a bit much when every single thread no matter what topic gets latched onto. The funny thing is, you seem to indicate by your little love smiley that the BioWare social network is filled with people making excuses or overly heaping praise on the company when in fact it has become almost the opposite. The two DA2 non spoiler forums are a testament to this.

@Walker White: Didn't play Oblivion I take it? As for the epic statement of ME3...we have seen little beyond pew pew and a melee attack. That is far from being epic. Therefore it is premature to make statements like that.
I'm sorry as much as I liked oblivion it was in it's first iteration quite horrible to play, lots of bugs.
But thanks to the help of the community and a lot of mods it became one of my favourites.
That said what you're trying to do is moronic, because comparing a sandbox rpg with a more contained story driven one is quite pointless. It's like you're trying to say yeah apples are more epic than oranges, you guys are stupid for thinking that oranges can compete with apples.....
I'm a fruits guy I like apples and oranges, just saying. But sure feel free to continue spreading you're horrible opinions.
