Hi guys,
I'm on my 4th run, and I've never had this before - when I return to the mansion for the argument between Aveline and Isabella to start "to catch a thief", Isabela is completely invisible. Anyone else encountered this? Any known fixes?

Have your tried the old save then reload technique? That has seemed to help with other...disembodiment issues.

Cloak of invisibility, obviously. You must have missed her codex where she mentions meeting Mr. Potter... and by that of course I mean we'll look in to it - any special conditions that were different on this playthrough? What did you do right before going in to the mansion?

Invisibela! Love it!
Hmmn, can't think of any different conditions (only different choice was killing Karras, but I seriously doubt that's relevant). I went to the mansion straight after Seamus has his "meeting" with Petrice. I've tried walking directly into the mansion in hightown, transferring there from an exit point, and heading to the hanged man, then transferring to the mansion. No luck with any save/reload.
Thanks for looking into it!

If it helps, I was near the beginning of Act 2 when I applied the patch - could that be relevant?

I can now confirm it is definitely the patch - I reinstalled, (keeping the saves), updated to 1.02 and it ran perfectly.
EDIT: and now I've updated to 1.03 - Invisibela once more appeared (or rather, didn't appear)

I too have had this exact same problem. As soon as I enter hawk's estate, "invisibela" hah is not there, but I can see avaline. This happens regardless of whether I have the most recent video drivers or the previous driver 270.61. I have patch 1.03 installed as well

Oh good (well, not good, but useful) - maybe with two data points we can get more information. What point did you install the patch at?
I'll try updating it before starting a new game some time.

I installed it as soon as it became available and I probably played for 3 hours or so before I got to the scene where she disappears. I'm going to try installing the 1.02 patch and see if that fixes it. I didn't realize i still had it in my downloads folder last night.
On another note my PC is fairly high end too, so it shouldn't be a matter of horse power. My graphics card is a geforce gtx460 SE. I'm fairly sure this is linked to the most recent patch.

yeah, my computer is pretty beasty too, I'm running an HD5870, so it's not that.
Reverting back to 1.02 didin't work, but keeping the saves, reinstalling the game and updating to 1.02 did get rid of the issue. (back as soon as 1.03 went in). I'm positive its the patch.
Sounds like you installed it about the same time in the playthrough I did, I wonder if that's it?
I'll report back here when I get up to it with a new game with 1.03 installed. If it was installing at that point of time that did it, there won't be a problem :S

Interesting, I'll have to give that a shot, but I'm too lazy to do a reinstall right this second hah. Yeah I'm running 8 gig of ram and an intel i-7 2600 proc, so it should be more than fine.

So has this been fixed? Because it's happening to me too...
Edited: Just wanted to add that this happened after installing the 1.03 patch. I'm running DX9 with hi-res textures.

Just hit this problem as well. 1.03 installed with all the DLC. AMD HD 5900 / Win 7 Ultimate. Random stab at graphics settings (DX9/DX11, hi res etc.) didn't seem to help.

What point in the game did you two install the patch? I haven't got up to that part in my start from the beginning with patch installed run, I'm hoping it'll work
Yeah, graphics options don't change it, and we all have high spec systems, so it's not that ,,,

I experienced the same problem. I came straight from the chantry after the thing with the viscount's son and the priestess - at the beginning of the fouth year.
I have a fresh install, 64 bit win 7, but playing from an older savegame (way back to DA 2 1.0).

Sorry to necro, but this seems important:
Playing with patch 1.03 installed from the start, I've reached this point again, and it works fine! It seems to be that the issue only happens if the patch is installed in Act 2 (or 1?) - if it is installed from the start, it's fine. For me, anyway. Any of you guys played again since?

This is happening to me too, now. It never happened in 1.03, but now it's started after updating to patch 1.04, after starting a new playthrough. Isabela is completely invisible for the duration of the Aveline-Isabela To Catch a Thief talk, and reloading doesn't help, it happens every time. It never used to, and it's really annoying. I don't think it's mod related, because I took all of mine out to see, and it was no different. It doesn't seem as though anybody is looking into this anymore, but if anything could be done or figured out, I'd be very, very happy.

I'd also like to add that during the scene, if Hawke or Aveline speaks to Isabela, or look at her while she is speaking, they are looking towards the corner where Bodahn and Sandal are usually standing, as though speaking to one of them. Don't know if that's in any way relevant or helpful, but if someone ever checks this out, it might be, I don't know...
