Hey,

I just connected a second monitor to my computer and I'm trying to figure out, how to "split" the toolset on two monitors at once. I wanted, for example, the timeline and the object inspector on the left screen and the viewports on my right one. Is that possible?

Edit: I wasn't very accurate there. What I need is a way to have my viewports on the right monitor and the timeline on the left. However, the cutscene editor options lack that function (right to left). Is there a way to do that?

Cheers

Nick

Apparently both the Viewports and timeline are a part of one window so the best you can do is extend the entire window to your second screen to make use of both. Then set your viewports to right and left if you wish.

You can also double click on the object inspector and palette header bars and move the separate windows anywhere you wish on the screens. One way to do that is to click on Window>cascade and move your windows accordingly.

You may have already discovered this however I just saw this custscene editor image and realised there must be a left-to-right layout. And sure enough if you open the Options (Tools > Options) and click on the Cutscene Editor tab you will see a Layout property which can be Top to Bottom or Left to Right. Unfortunately there is no Right to Left option so it might not suit your monitor set up.

Edit: I just noticed the "Then set your viewports to right and left if you wish" in Dahlia's post. I guess I should learn to read things more carefully!
