Yeah, well, I don't go to a whole bunch of partys. Drunk people get boring after five minutes or so. They just laugh a bunch, then sit on the couch with a strange smile on their face. Of course, we are talking about 17/18 year olds (lightweights). I'm sure older people can handle more booze before they get boring.

Still...I have to look forward to a lifetime of ("Heay, guysh...I neaed shomone to dwrive me *hic* howme.") designated driving.

It does get more interesting when you're old enough to go out to the clubs.  Oh, the stories I have.  You had to be there to fully appreciate most of them though.  Good times, good times.... 
I somehow managed to avoid the giving random people a lift pitfall.  I did it once against my better judgement because one of my friends talked me into it and they weren't going very far, but then I never did it again.  I was lucky they weren't psycho killers...

One time in a club with a group of friends I decided to splurge and ordered a virgin pina coloda. When the waitress returned with my drink she announce loud enough to be heard over the crowd "Here's your virgin you ordered"

Needless to say, I didn't hear the end of that one for some time lol!

Wow, you're a better friend than I would be in that type of situation.  I'd just tell them I'm not their chauffer and give them the number to a cab company if I wasn't already out with them.  That or turn off my cell phone.  My friends are all afraid to call the house phone.  They might have to speak to someone other than me.  LOL

I've never had anything like that happen to me because I never order anything at all.  Everything is way too expensive at the club (and I'm very cheap, lol).  I always just make someone else order a Hypnotic for me to watch them drink because it's such a pretty shade of blue.

That's what the cab company number is for.  If I was feeling super nice I might even call for them and have the cab pick them up.  When the time comes, hopefully your friends will be responsible enough that they won't have to call you.  They can drink and not get drunk.  Sorry, I switched into "club-mom" mode.  Anyway, I'm a horrible person, and it's good of you to be willing to go out of your way to help your friends

I don't know, I think the Mämmi actually sounds tasty (and the look can be gotten over); I spent a few months in China once, working in a hospital doing the internship in nursing that is required for medical students here, and they had something similar over there - a sort of dessert dish that looked pretty much like Mämmi and was also flavoured with dark molasses.
It was absolutely delicious to me, so maybe I should go to Finland to relive that experience, it's not as far away as China after all.

There is kind of a resemblance, really, even the hairstyle is the same in those two pictures... IM's chin/jawline seems a bit more pronouncedly angular, but that I'm sure you'll grow into yet
