The community is very new, but this is a good ice breaker isn't it? Now you can picture someone when you see their name, not just the avatar. I think it's great fun, but I tend to mix my rl and gaming...

Your mirror will tell you the truth no matter what is said here. It's not a beauty contest, just a show and tell-thread. What we look like have no relevance on this forum apart from the fun of it.

I've often worried about the same thign, but honestly, what kind of evil could people possibly do with a simple picture of yours? Well, apart from making fun of it, which people can also do if they see you IRL...

I think the bottom line is, Mordaedil, that we aren't going to gang up on anybody and knock them down because they're not Brad Pitt (or whoever the ladies like these days). Most RPG's hold a mature fanbase. If there's communities to be wary of putting your pic up on, this isn't one of them in my opinion.
