I heard about that. Mark McGowan did it to protest against royal hunting back in 2007. I don't know if he was prosecuted or not, but corgis aren't protected so I don't think anything negative came of it. Though dog meat doesn't taste that bad - I had it once while I was out in the far east. I didn't even know it was dog until I asked the chef.lea.l wrote...
Wasn't there that one guy, who cooked and ate one of the Queen's Dogs - well, not actually one of hers, but a dog belonging to the same breed, what are they called again, Corgies or something? - just to be funny and disrespectful, and see whether he could get away with it?SargeantRenegade wrote...
I can't admit to liking swan where I live. Swans in the UK are protected by royal decree - eating them is a crime, and I'd rather stay out of jail.
He didn't go to jail... or did he?

I have a personal things against all birds.
I can seriously count at least 4 separate occasions in which I was viciously attacked by one or more birds.
Not even kidding.
I have been chased by those evil things.
That's one reason why I absolutely LOVED Shale on DA:O.
She shares my hatred of the damnable feathered fiends.
I say cook them all!

...One shat on my sister once, so I may be a bit biased.
Still, I see no reason why I shouldn't join the Shale Adoration Society. If birds are truly as violent as you all say, I must aid in their destruction.

You´re an evil and twisted person who makes me feel horribly homesick.
This was the last thing I cooked during christmas, just before getting back to the US.

Not exactly but quite, quite close.

These were taken arround 3 years ago in what, even today, can be considered our best performance in the 6 years I have been working on historical reenactment. On that year we spent a terrible lot of money in material to get the clothing and the result was really worth it.
Since these are part of my fieldwork data for a thesis, I have been browsing them today and the quality of the first two pics is amazingly good for what we usualy have.
For my part, I had the role of "master of ceremonies" performing as a druid (not really, but it would take too long to explain propperly) in a celtiberian funneral. And the result was...

And a "bonustrack" from another show: explaining how a chainmail is manufactured:
