First of all, sorry for the triple post but these pics are well worth since the person taking them is a really amazing photographer.
These were taken arround 3 years ago in what, even today, can be considered our best performance in the 6 years I have been working on historical reenactment. On that year we spent a terrible lot of money in material to get the clothing and the result was really worth it.
Since these are part of my fieldwork data for a thesis, I have been browsing them today and the quality of the first two pics is amazingly good for what we usualy have.
For my part, I had the role of "master of ceremonies" performing as a druid (not really, but it would take too long to explain propperly) in a celtiberian funneral. And the result was...![]()
And a "bonustrack" from another show: explaining how a chainmail is manufactured:
Congrats to Statulos for actually posting some pics in a RL pics thread! First in 7 pages. Woo!

And people add coffee to that????? What kind of monster can spoil it that way!!
Squirrel pretty much sounds like a pigeon-like mammal. Better stuff to eat out there for sure, cat included.
I heard snakes are good too.
edited&fixed, we need a damn preview function on thisgod forsaken, next genforum...
So humans taste like chicken? Well, depends; some particular humans and some particular "cuts" remind me of seafood.
Odd? Not at all, just somehow (or not that somehow) cryptic.KneeTheCap wrote...

(The other ones are, as well, but I didn't wanna overdo the picture quoting and this is my favourite)
You have a very serious and capable look on your face there, too, one can imagine you're really telling all the rookies what's what

When I perform or explain things I look and sound like a completely different person. Maybe it´s due to the "serious guy" mask I use towards the public to keep scenic fear at bay.
This all started as an experimental archeology project (that sumarizes basicaly as "do it as they did it two and a half millenia ago) that eventually got a life of his own.
We do other stuff that looks beautifull too like:
-Weaving:

-Create pottery:

-Scare people and look very serious:

-Drink spiced wine:

-And my fave; bleeding, get bruises and kick some Roman ass in the process:

Still, it´s not always like that, and just as the case of above mentioned kitty, raw looks better and tastes better, exactly as steak tartare.

It´s curious to see how disgusting is some stuff in raw form (snails, barnacles...) and how marbellous it turns out when cooked.

Ever have turtle soup? I have family outside New Orleans and relish my visits to see them because the turtle soup in a particular restaurant we go to is heavenly, thats the only word to discribe it.

I have seen many Americans with the same face when we serve squid stewed in its ink to; afterwards, see them devouring the food and dipping bread in the sauce like only a hungry Spaniard can. To give you all a fair idea of the dish, it looks like this:

For the warm up part, I also agree: when it gets drenched in sauce you know it´s ready for consumption.

Yes! When I was told about the menu I felt a terrible nausea since my mind got directly to the images of Cannibal Holocaust related to turtles... Still, once you pass the "WTF?" thing in your mind, the taste is just great.

And basicaly all we have posted sounds kind of weird but you can have it on a normal basis. Still, some day I´ll go for red ants since it´s said that in Tibet they are a delicacy...
For kitties, depends on origin for sure but humans are not "exotic".

One synonym for "reva" is "römpsä". One new word for you!
