Yes, this topic is that desperate (I mean that in the best way possible, bunnie: you are the de-facto savior of this thread until Lea can post more pictures of her gorgeous self!).

Here's a freshly taken shot of my unshaven self with my favourite tea mug. I've been playing marathon sessions of Star Trek Online over the last week with my man (explaining my relative silence here, and I think this MMO is more addictive than WoW).

HeheheThis kind of topic is always good, it's good to see people who are in other side of a computer
lol sometimes, it usually revolves around the hot girl pics though, the ladies dont seem to say much when a dude puts his mug up.
Except for Lilith she wanted me to take her prisoner or something kinky haha.

Ha, you still in the service? I spent 7 years in the Corp. 2 yrs E.O.D. the rest was spent in a Recon group, loved it there in Bosnia I could actually keep a beard.
Negative, the military is a fickle business, you either do your term get out, get jacked up and discharged, or you hope and pray you dont get hurt or killed and retire. I got jacked up. Loved my job, obviously the things that go along with the territory arent pretty, but it's combat, I was one particularly angry, enraged, person for a long time after that, never felt bitter towards my unit, just bitter towards the system. Physical rehab, locked in a mental ward, still having nightmares and physical issues, well I cant say I wouldnt have changed things if I could go back in time but, thats life.
My brother signed up with the guard not long after I was discharged(honorably), I guess he felt bad I was the only one in our family's generation that had sacrificed so much, plus I went off the radar for nearly 2 years after I got back from OEF so he didnt have a voice of reason to consider. He's a damn good soldier though, finishing WOCS soon, then off to flight training for UH60s I'm glad he'll be off the ground unlike me, if you follow what I'm saying.

I know too well about the nightmares all I can say is that they will never go away but they will become alot easier if such a word can be used to cope and deal with in time.

Hey thank you for your time in bud, any current service member or veteran is a friend of mine, yeah I'm fully aware of my nightmares never stopping, every night 4am or so, wake up from the same damn thing, it's not that they've become easier to deal with, but I have kind of gotten used to it, I know that's disturbing considering the vivid and violent and brutal nature of my nightmare but, yeah......
on a side note, I've noticed the frequency of the nightmare occuring cutting down a bit when I sleep with someone, depends on the girl too though, one always made a point of it getting on her nerves, lol can you believe that, one girl was great though man, she's one of the few souls I've spilled my heart out to concerning what goes on in my head, she was really understanding, never pushed the issue, just supportive you know, not once did I have issues sleeping with her. But alas the one that got away, she moved to caman(however you spell it) islands for a job, tore us both up, but just wasnt meant to be.

I know where you are coming from I also suffered and still to some extent do as well have them but they do become easier to manage I was not able to get a grasp on mine until a few years back and the last time I saw combat was in the winter of 96'. Combat is what it is brutal and ugly esp. when it is up close, but we survive and carry on all I can say about the subject that is you survived it, now the only thing is to let it make you stronger.
Anyhow enough of the depressing and personal stuff in the open forums, glad you made it back home to enjoy ME2, DA, and women.
