In any case it's interesting to read the
English pronunciation of the words spelled out, as the German
pronunciation of Latin words tends to be a bit different, more
"literal", pretty much the way it's written (something more like
"pull-cherr", with that peculiar "ch" sound we Germans make)

11 or 12 years old? How long ago was that? My hair is its natural color right now since I'm still looking for and interviewing for work and all that jazz. Really wanna mess with it again though.DanniDoom wrote...
@Squiggles: I haven't seen my natural hair since I was 11 or 12 years old...though my mom wouldn't ever let me use permenant at that time so I was stuck putting in semipermenant 24 shampoo crap in my hair but oh well. It was a really really dark brown, I'm Italian so the dark hair and brown eyes was pretty much a hereditary promise haha. The video clip you sent me is excellent! Haha.
That clip was from the movie Blue Velvet, by the way. David Lynch makes some pretty awesome messed-up-in-a-good-way movies.

Well, there have been proposals of marriage already, so you may have hope... although I have to say, my alleged fiancé Godak has been holding out on me lately, ever since I brought up that horrendously expensive honeymoon packageHurrrr wrote...

Ah yes, english (american in particular) latin. I cant stop grinding my
teeth or laughing hearing the pronauciation. And when I haerd "si vis
pacem, para bellum" in the Punisher movie I almost cried..(and the
movie is really BAAD!). Sound so feeble in english. And I think in
europe proper latin sounds everywhere the same - at least I refer to
Vatican - they should know the spelling/voicingno?
and lea,
cool pic with...the guitar (I always refer to it as the picture with
legs), great shot, fine dim light capture, almost errotica. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]
and theres me, dont panic, its really me.
Deprived of sleep for 8 months (only about 5h of sleep a day) - this is
how a person looks like...neglected and malnutritioned too

Here in italy it's easy, many of us are forced to study latin in high schoollea.l wrote...
Which is to say, even within Europe it differs somewhat, but in any case there can be no doubt as to the fact we have a better understanding of it en général
And really, if the Vatican doesn't know its sh** in that regard, I don't know who does anymore!

In quite a few schools it's the case in Germany, France etc., too, and that's a nice thing imo - I had to study Latin in high school as well, and though my skills are waning fast without constant practice, I do certainly not regret it.Abriael_CG wrote...

Oh, Knight, you know I was jesting, I was just referring to forumite Godak's and my joking discussion about "flashy" wedding rings some pages back in this thread...
Though I am touched it would move you to evil plotting, it flatters my heart, as you know I have an extremely secret internet crush on you
Well, that depends entirely on what kind of capacity you intend the ring to fill, no?Maviarab wrote...
