Oh! Anders! Of course.

I don't think they'll actually animate a cat this late into making the game, but I am expecting an easter egg line about a cat he had as a kid or the like, or put that they put one in a later DLC.

What if Vega's allergic to cats?

I feel ya there. I've been playing around with a couple ideas but I've never done a Mass Effect fanfic before, so I'd definitely need a good, laid out personality to do Vega justice.

Then again, I guess I could always just come up with my own impression of him...

Edit: Scratch that, just remembered I did a few chapters of a Zaeed fanfic a couple years back

I've been contimplating a short little one-shot involving the shuttle ride where Shepard and Vega first meet, and then evolving it from there. Although I have a feeling my Fable/Reaver fanfic readers will get pretty peeved at me if I take up another story, I've been so slacking in updates

In my fan fiction world:

My Shepard has an adopted sibling... Adopted sibling likes Vega, Vega may return interest, Shepard warned that he will, and I quote 'Gut you like a fish, beat you to within an inch of your life and through you out the airlock into the galactic core', if Vega upsets them in anyway. Then says 'Have fun' in a cheery manner leaving the poor man scared sh!tless.

Edit: This is paragon shepard, what would Renagade do? Scratch that, he wouldn't care.

Edit: Edit: My Shepard's relation with Vega would probably be similar to Soap and Price of the Modern Warfare universe. Shepard's with Ashley.

I think there has been a few fan fic's that I have seen about Vega.

1. The Adventures of James Vega and Sergeant Whiskers
2. Under Better Circumstances

I have never had time to write fanfiction being in a program atm where I write tons of essays, but If I could I would. Just so I could keep my mind from wandering to the story leaks and get my Vega fix at the same time.


I have read some pretty good pre-release fanfics for DA2 and when I looked back I was surprised that they really did the character justice. So its always worth a shot!  If you don't know his personality there is no way you cannot do it justice!

That is a great idea for a fan fic!!

I doubt we will see that scene in game so a fanfic for that sounds perfect! <3 I am excited to read it if you turn out to write it!  Pfftt just tell your readers you needed to write about the awesomeness that is Vega, they will totally understand right?

Sorry, worded my previous statement wrong but yes that's actually what I had in mind as far as continuing from the end of Conviction. I'm playing around with it right now, I'll post a preview if I'm able to throw together something I'm satisfied with by the end of tonight

Word of caution though, I always play FemShep and will probably be writing it with her in mind  I can try a MaleShep one too if demand is high enough though

I really love his voice as it is, due to it being what I would not expect a man of such a build to sound like. Gives him a softer edge in a way and not all in your face.

Shepard: 'What you expected'? How so?
Vega: Well, stories that I've heard painted you as a burly 6'6" man with a build that makes mine look like a matchstick.
Shepard: So like a demigod or something?
Vega: Yes.
Shepard: ... I like being a lean built myself. And who the hell gave you that idea?
Vega: They call you 'Rocks' Shepard, don't they?
Shepard: 'Rox' as in R-O-X. Short for Roxanna.
Vega: No wonder that didn't make sense. I guess someone fouled up down the line.
Shepard: When someone can't tell a pair of boobs from a pair of balls. Yea, I'm thinking' so! Heh.
Vega: Still. Not what I expected.
Shepard: That a good thing, or a bad thing, mate?
Vega: I haven't quite decided yet.
