Aww I love the dialogue! very cute. I could honestly see something like that happen ingame, except you know without names of course.

Loving all of the art, don't mean to be a downer but what do you guys reckon the likelyhood of Vega being an LI?

I really want him to be but I am so unsure as to get my hopes up or just try and placate my growing obsession over him! (that last bit makes me sound like a nutter)

Pretty high, to be honest. He seems to be the only truly permanent squad member and if Bioware wants to introduce romances to new audiences then he pretty much makes the most sense. Shepard doesn't have a history with him, so the player gets a chance to start with a clean slate and to get to know him as a character without the burden of canon or having to find a way to explain so many of the previous happenings. Imagine what a new player would feel like trying to romance Liara; so much catching up to that it would probably become annoying for both, the developer and the player. It also seems like the cheaper option for everything; if they want to include a new L.I. AND an M/M L.I. it's just easier to use him then to create a whole new character like they did with Kelly.

I don't think it's a guaranteed thing, but I'd be willing to bet that the odds of him being an L.I. (S/S or O/S) are pretty darn good.

I think it could be likely. They did say there will be new LI's in ME3, & Vega sounds plausable to me. Just do what the rest of us are doing, vent out all your vega obsessions in here till ME3, that way the obsession doesn't get sufficated and explode in march whatever the outcome.

I would wait till Foxhound or IsaacShep come online, they read the spoilers & I think they said it could be entirely possible.

EDIT: Bad foxy for sneaking online in the middle of me typing!

Heh, though I love Kaidan & appreciate Jacob, that is how my renegon shep felt. They played it too safe for her liking.
She needed someone rash but loyal, & willing to take risks to get the job done.

@Aurora Squeeee!!!  Love it! I definitely need to write a fanfic now, the inspiration is running rampant and I've got the whole day off too to work on it. Here's a tiny preview of what I tossed together last night before passing out, some things will probably be tweaked though as I'm very picky about what I write.


“I swear, it’s like you boys just go looking to get sliced up.” Doctor Chakwas scolds, clicking her tongue as she further inspects the deep gash, “Scaring yourself up for the ladies might sound like a good idea, until you get thrown in my sick bay and have to listen to an old lady prattle on instead.”
 
James Vega, 1st Lieutenant to the System Alliance Military, now reduced to a wincing mass of shame by a gray haired fleet doctor. Oh if Instructor Briggs could see him now.
 
“Ah sh*t!” Vega curses, jerking away from the slender fingertips prodding none-too-carefully at the still bleeding cut covering the main portion of his skull.
 
“Oh shush now, and stop fidgeting.” Chakwas chides, continuing her previous menstruations without any hint of remorse. That is how all military doctors were of course, but still, the woman could have always feigned sympathy for the beat up solider sitting before her…even if these injuries were technically his fault.
 
"I hope you're not beating up our newest crewmember Doctor," A calm, somewhat amused voice draws both occupants attention to the medbay entryway, "I don't need them to tack on abuse of military personnel to my trial hearings."

See, very short. It's more of a taste of my writing style for you guys. I still have to nail out the intro and whatnot, but this is the point where Vega and Shepard first "meet" and actually talk to one another. It'll be more explained in the story.

I've also been thinking about doing a fic as well, but I'm trying to make it gender neutral so that anybody can picture whatever Shep they want to in it. I love writing, and I really wanted to challenge myself. It's been kind of hard, but I think once RL calms down a bit, I can do it.

I think "injured Vega" feeling is based on two things: he's already covered with scars and looks good with it; and the fact that he's big and tough and little injury won't kill him, just will show ...more vulnerable side, maybe?

The way I see things, I'd assume not. The only voice in the demo that was a placeholder was that bizarre ADMEERAL. Everything else was pretty much squared away. I'd say that that's Vega's true voice, but I'm not making any bets or anything in case it isn't. I don't want to eat my hat.

Also, mmm, fanfiction. I can see a lot of it on the horizon. I'm not quite to the point where I feel comfortable enough with his character to write any, but I did write some pre-release femShep/Jack, so...

@Foxhound Haha. Well treating injuries does tend to be a popular fanfic scenario from what I've read of other pairings, it just seems like such an obvious road to take considering how violent and beat up Vega gets in the comic. I'd still love to read your take on it, especially since I'm writing for FemShep and I'm assuming you'd write in MaleShep (correct me if I'm wrong)

@Saberchic Thanks! I will try to get the beginning up on FF.net as soon as possible, but like I said, I can get pretty judgemental of my own work. I was thinking about going the gender neutral route, but it is SUPER difficult since I tend to get pretty discriptive when it comes to character's appearances. I'll be on the look out for yours though if you do decide to go for it!
