Confirmed? Only one. There's some pretty speculation on James though, and some good speculation on the V.S. too. So if we're not reading too much into these lines, it's likely that it'll be Cortez, Vega, and Alenko.

Don't worry. They've done a pretty good job with keeping spoilers out. Besides a couple of lines, and whether he's a romance option or not, everything else (background, plot lines details, etc.) is pretty much discouraged here.

Steve Cortez is a guy and he's the shuttle pilot. (according to the files at least).

Strangely enough, I think James giving nicknames kinda fits his character. Feeling a little unsure by his surroundings and trying to ease the tense....

You can actually reject his nicknames. There are dialogue options to accept the nickname or tell him to fall back in line, in which case he'll just keep calling you "Shepard."

That's an extremely good idea IMO. Some people like to be called by their nickname and some don't. This really helps to build your Shepard (Okay, in a very minor way, but still, I think it's very cool it's there).

From what I can gather from the beta footage, Cortez pilots the shuttle. Joker still pilots the Normandy

Yes, what about Joker? Is he available for FemShep?

Yeah, Cortez is the shuttle pilot for Shepard, not the Normandy pilot. Joker is still definitely in the game. Cortez is also male and from the lines it seems he's actually JUST gay, not bisexual, but don't quote me on that. That's what we're getting so far from the scripts.

Also, not to spoil anything, but just in case some might consider it a spoiler...

James and Cortez know each other. James keeps referring to Cortez as "Esteban" instead of "Steve."

About time Bioware broke out of their shell and made  a strictly gay romance I've been waiting for something like this for a long time.

And you say he is a romance as in full fledged?
Like a squad member romance?
