I know, ha, ha! I remember the utter raging when he was first shown. The Facebook page was blowing up with "Jersey Shore" comments left and right. Now everyone is starting to like him. Like they should. Because Vega is awesome.

well, he's not replacing my favourite character, as Kaidan is said to be a permant sqaddie

but I have to admit, ever since the leaked demo, I like him a lot more, though I was warming up a little thanks to zwei's drawings of chibi Vega eating things XD

I've liked him since the first official screenshot was published, where his face wasn't yet finished

Nah, his nose is fine. 

Okay then my Shepard is willing to invest some platinum into that cosmetic laser from ME 2 and remove some of Vega's scars. Not all of them though

I liked him from the very start. I have a few friends that despised him and absolutely wanted nothing to do with him, now it's all they talk about. He's definitely going to be my second choice for squadmate, first is Garrus.

Didn't care much about him in the beginning but as time goes by he's growing on me and he's one of the things i look forward to the most in ME3. He just sound so awesome and to me is a really interesting character already!

My appreciation for Vega started out as annoyance that people were jumping on this poor guy's case just for existing and looking a certain way. Then I read about him in the GI article and the rest is history. I've always liked having characters around who looked up to my own, and if they're beefy and interesting, they've got it on lock, really. Vega's voice (if it's not a placeholder) shot him up to the same level as Kaidan. Which is pretty impressive.

Speaking honestly, I was rather... negatively surprised by the very first picture - "leaked" alternate outfits from CE. All other images are very good, and Vega's dialogues are rare parts of leaked script I actually enjoy.

I went from really disliking Vega to making a new Shepard to romance him in case of s/s Vegamance. Somewhere along the line, that Vegamance Shep became my canon Shep. And I have no idea how that happened.

I didn't like Vega at first when that super-crappy pic of him from Collector's Edition preview got released. Thought he looked hideous. But I changed my mind once we got better version and then Casey released final image of him on Twitter <3

Everyone and their mother was bashing him! To the point people were even declaring he was going out the airlock at the very first opportunity! Just based on looks and nothing else.

I don't know, I never had that first impression. The first time I saw him I was intrigued by him, I couldn't put my finger on it at the time but I just felt like I needed to give this guy a chance.

I won't lie, I didn't really like his first alternative appearance armor, the colors of his camo armor just did nothing for him! The new colors bring out his features and complements his skin tone and eyes. But I knew I couldn't make any judgements until we finally saw him without armor on, because I did like his face despite the vast criticisms.

Now long and behold I am happy I waited and I didn't write him off! I am absolutely in love with his final look, I think he looks great and I wouldn't change anything about his appearance. Not his nose, scars or anything. Also I read a majority of his dialogue from the leaks (aside from the Fehl stuff which I want to be a surprise), and I love his present personality! I couldn't be happier, he is shaping to into the squad-mate I have always wanted! Well done Bioware

@ Calla - I just finished reading your next chapter, and thought it was great! I like how your slowly getting your character involved with Vega, instead of jumping full throttle into the romantic bits! Makes the steamy bits feel more rewarding when/if they happen. Also I love the interaction between your Shepard and Anderson!

The woman is one of my Shepard's... Nevada Shepard aka Vega's Nevada (lol). She's the Shepard I am writing about currently in Under Better Circumstances.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm heading in slowly because I prefer that sort of pace, rather than the breakneck speed most people approach the romances in-game. I want it to feel natural, you know? Like I'm documenting it rather than pushing them together.

And thank you again! He has a bigger role to play in her life and the grand scheme of things than most of my Shepards. I'm really proud of where that's heading, too!
