Mordin ain't exactly most popular.

Now, he is loved by almost everyone like Legion and yet their fanbases are very small.

And I could say same for Wrex.

No, not translator. Well "speaking a little" is probably exaggerating a bit. Know some word or two. And I'm not slavic. I'm Scandinavian.

1) I never said he was the most popular character just one of them which is true just like wrex and legion

2)most popular fan threads are almost always romance characters or character people want to romance(big exception being TiM who is also a very controversial character) that doesnt make them any less popular expecially considering how well they do on character polls and how popular they are in non bsn forums

3) Jacob has a more active fan thread than legion/mordin and wrex are you really gonna try convince any one that Jacob of all characters is more popular than Legion/Wrex/Mordin who as you said almost every one loves because BSN doesnt have big fanthreads for them?

Wrex and Legion have tinier fanbases on BSN because the majority of BSN posts are from people discussing romantic merit; I think that's undeniable personally. The people here are constantly talking about the romantic interests and rarely discuss anyone else in great detail, even when those someone elses are often the ones that drive the overarching story the most. If you go to another, broader site like GameFAQs you will find that there are more posts about Wrex than there are here by a long, long shot and far fewer about Kaidan (no offense intended or anything) and such.

As for Mordin, it's basically the same exact situation, although I noticed that critically (as in, regarding professional reviews) he (as well as Thane) were exceptionally well-regarded characters. One of those two are almost always mentioned as a personal favorite in the reviews I read on ME2. And Thane's thread is alive and kicking since he's romantically desirable and also a romance interest; Mordin's thread, well, Mordin's ME3 thread is my creation and frankly I've felt far, far less motivated to bump it up to the top of the board ever since I learned about the travesty of replacing Michael Beattie. I'm pretty glum about that, not going to sugarcoat that one bit, and so I don't like to talk about it.

my grandfather was Croatian, he tried to teach me a few words/phrases but alas I suck at languages. Before he died he stopped speaking english so never knew what he was saying. I just had to nod.

One more week to January, so much closer to March or even closer to demo release.

I liked Mordin as a character, but there are some problems with him in ME2:

1) The team needs him to come up with a way to help the team avoid the seeker swarms. This is incredibly important since the new "iconic" look of the cast means that the squad no longer wear complete suits of armor and have exposed skin even in space. For the love of God, don't make us tell Miranda and Samara to put on a full suit of armor and cover up their talent!

In other words, the reason for him being there is... stupid.

2) Guilt over the genophage. I really dig this and it is one of the best parts of the game. I'm not sure how much hand wringing scenes over the genophage are going to be in ME3, though. If there are a lot, then the loss of his VA will be tragic.

3) Tali's magic sex gel. I don't mind Tali falling in love with Shepard, but the whole Mordin magic sex gel allowing them to get down and dirty and destroying two games' and a novel's established lore on Quarians' weak immune systems is... stupid. Well, at least she got a cold. Phlegm is really gross and shows there are consequences to our decisions.

4) Dammit, but he does die easy in the suicide mission. It took me about three play-throughs before I figured out that the only way to guarantee his survival is to send him back to the ship with the Normandy survivors or take him to the final battle. Of course, if I take him to the final battle it's usually Tali who bites the dust.

The scene I'd look forward to would be Mordin and Vega speaking Spanish really fast (back to the thread's subject now).
