Since Bioware plans to make something like Suicide Mission, I think we'll need few new characters as squadmates.
Vega is one of them and we get his right after we escape Earth, since I doubt we can get any alien squadmate on Alliance ship without Shepard's call.

Also game would be boring if you could only play with Liara and Virmire Survivor.
And even with Vega it wouldn't be enough.

Hell, 6 is too few.

Mmh I like the change. And yes, all the characters in mass effect don't need to be beautiful. The only problem for me is the armor. They need to fix that.

It looks like a kind of box that hasn't been crafted for him. It doesn't stick really for me. Especially the legs. I wonder if he can really move with it. Heavy armor, okay, but it must remain credible if he is a soldier... And the armor looks a bit too much to Gear of Wars.

Maybe it is the screen, I expect to see how it is in the game.

Thats not bad, actually. As I said possibly elsewhere there's already Kaidan as the 'pretty boy' LI, as long as any tweaks to Vega were subtle I'd be fine with that. But I'd certainly be disappointed if he was totally revamped. Also. his lips are nice as is. He kind of reminds me of (looks up his name) Kellan Lutz.

I think that massive armour makes his head look utterly out of proportion, though. Reactions to him would probably be more favourable if he was seen in some casual wear or something.
