I always thought he liked OK but he got better looking the more screenshots we're shown. The only one I thought was really bad was one of the first screencaps from the leaked beta, the perspective is all shot and Vega looks huge (bigger than he already is) in comparison to Shep.

And under "prettier" I mean not just "better looking", but closer to "more conventionally looking". The very first pictures were rather unusual, and now mouth becomes narrower and nose becomes longer. Guess "not everyone on the ship is freaking supermodel" claim can't be applied longer; but I won't say that's necessary bad thing.

You're not the only one. The main comments on most sites that revealed him in an article consist of "douche bag", "Ugly", "Jersey Shore reject", "Gears of War FTW", "Tool", I even saw one comment about Bioware catering to Twilight fans with him, lol.
Me? He hasn't shown enough for me to either dislike or like him. I think he looks like a douche, but his personality may be interesting but right now he seems pretty average like Jacob was personality wise. Hopefully he is not just filler like Jacob felt.

I really wish he were voiced by Kevin Mckidd now. Damn it, why couldn't he be scottish! Woulda been fun in my head canon, cause my Shepard's Irish (he's actually celtic but he's mostly Irish).

Didn't he have a knight symbol in his armor? Or was that Kaidan? I can't remember where I saw the picture with him, Ashley and Kaidan and their armor symbols. I think it was this thread.
