Resistance is Futile. Support James Vega in Mass Effect 3 and he'll save kitties.

Cinematic trailers never accurately show the events of the actual game. They're usually far off actually. The only thing that is relevant in the trailer with big ben in is that it shows the Reapers are here. It could very well be him, because at that time his face was still being made. I seriously doubt they even had the concept that we are looking at now of vega. What does look similar though is the armor, the style of hair and his skin tone. I don't actually think it is him, but it damn well could be. Oh and never believe evil Chris!
I dunno Bioware's have been pretty closely related for the last few games. They're not exact recreations of in game events but they've been pretty consistent at showing idealized versions of events.
DA's Sacred Ashes trailer: We did climb a snowy mountain and fight a dragon even if it didn't look as awesome.
ME2's Cinematic: We did blast through a bunch of collectors on a planet where a collector ship was docked.
DA2's DEstiny Trailer: We did fight the Arishock
So none of bioware's have really been far off from actual events, just idealized versions of them.

Cinematic trailers put people/places/events where they want to make it look cool. I never trust them to give an accurate representation of the game. I'm talking about ALL cinematic trailers in general here. Not just BioWare.
EDIT: I'd also like to point out. The same voice talks during the gameplay "Fall of Earth" trailer. Why keep the same actor?

As for his narration, you're right. He probably is important to the game in some way.
Doesn't mean he's Vega though. Do I like it? No.I'd love to have Big Ben as a squaddie.
I just don't think it's likely.
Again, I have to look at Bioware's cinematic history to draw any theories about Big Ben at this stage. Either he's like Malcolm and was made just for the trailers or he's an actual character in which case he's likely on earth.
Edit: But i'm starting to get off topic because this is Vega's thread not Big Ben speculation. Apologies.

Jumpin' the gun as I always do, I simply assumed the teaser trailer was ALL about ME3, and that every blurry image, no matter how weird, had something to do with this very game. Never thought they were hints for other games! *facepalm*/*headkeyboard* Ah well, lesson learned.

You'd think with living in the 21st century, we'd be able to prove our theories by our 6th sense alone, but alas, no. That's just not right, man. Not right at all.

That aside, and I mentioned this is another thread I thought was this one (derp) regardless of what his sexuality is, and regardless of his place in the plot, unless he's a colossal douche with a personality that drives me up the wall i will appreciate him as a member of the crew.

just a quick note though, how much u like a character doesnt make the character good or bad. that crooked vice cop in the last part of la noire for example. everyone hates him, but as a character, he's brilliantly written and he does what he was meant to do.
Agreed. Moving from this point back to my post above. I will appreciate him as a companion assuming he doesn't ****** me off, but if he pisses me off doing what he was intended to do then I will apreciate him as a character even if not as a companion.
Morinth was supposed to be perceived as a nasty character and no matter what objections we have to her actual attitude and place in the team as long as it was her character and not bad writing in evoking that emotion we must admit she a well written/good character.

It's when Legion talks about the Geth sending false reports of stars resembling a Salarian God that was seen in Batarian Space. The Geth were 'probing' the organics for some kind of reaction. Just like Bioware are doing RIGHT NOW!! DUN DUN DUUUN.Mesina2 wrote...
