Here he was going in for the punch right in the gut for that one. I posted this screenshot because I liked the side profile view and the shot of his beautiful tattoo.

Thats why I posted the two shots of Shepard after it. Those two pictures follow Vega punching Shepard in the gut. I love the last one Shepards emotions and animations have come along way since ME1

don't get me wrong, I'd love to have it right now, but there are already scans from the thing popping up here and there, especially characters that are spoilers

Yes, Shepard fights and stands on her own two feet ... But that fight with Vega isn't on the battlefield.
 
Now there may be players that would love to have their female Shepard duke it like a man with Vega, but there are those of us who would see it as a bully fight and very out of character for the Shepards we are playing. Especially when Vega gives her a bloody nose and punches her in the stomach.

I am just hoping that either this is an option or that Bioware has a great twist in the fight that softens the exchange between the two. But we won't know until ME3 ... I'm sure that the Bioware team discussed this, looked at all the options and will carry it off well.

Well, it's like that with petty much every game. A month/two pior the release stuff is leaking through every crack, so I'm just used to it.

Glad I am not the only one seeing the slight inconsistency when it comes to Shepard's prowress..

There will more than likely be interupts and different dialogue choices during that scene, perhaps that Shepard was being 'mean/renegade'.

So I wouldnt worry atm.

That's not a mary sue. I wish people would stop throwing around that word.

Shep being able to take alot of damage =/= Shep being unbeatable.

Shep can clearly be hacked if Overlord is any indication. That can be an easily expoited weakness (especially with the Reapers).

To be honest it's the iconsistency that bugs me. (and no it's not just an graphic upgrade because people bleed in ME2 like that dude on Grunts's RM.)

Really. At this point have someone hack Shepard or something. It'd be more consistent instead of pretending Shep can take damage like a normal person.

I was looking forward to a scene where Shep was hacked and saw the Reapers memories. (It'd be a great way of showing the player the Reaper origins).

the bloody nose just tells me bioware is putting more effort into cutscenes than before

I think the graphics are being raised so now we may see blood on Shep - good thing.

I always wished that the fight scene between femShep and the yahg had been different ... more Michelle Yeoh then Chuck Norris. But you get what you get and use your imagination to see it different.

The same with the Vega / Shepard sparring ... I would like the different Shepards be taken into account but that may not happen ... C'est la vie

I think it is something new they are trying. They did it a bit with some of the ME2 NPC and now they found a way to make Shepard have emotions and bleed. I like it!  Its too bad they didn't really do anything like that for Shepard in ME2 but at least it is present in ME3.

For me it's not about sparring in general ... I grew up with three brothers and we boxed up until I started developing and then my body (breasts) said nope.

When I saw that Vega not only punches Shepard in the face but also in the stomach I winced.

Seeing a man bloody a woman and punch her in the stomach in a "friendly" bout is a wtf (to me)?

But if it is in the game as is ... Shepard will survive as I will believe that Bioware will present it in a way that makes sense. Not upset, just curious as to how the team has pulled this off.

It would make sense really. Shows that Vegas is still a heavy hitter while reminding us that Shepard is pretty much a super-soldier after Lazarus.

As for James being the hulk, all you need to do is take this screenshot.

And turn him green!

im not seeing why its different for him to punch a male shepard in the gut/face than it is a female one expecially when femshep isnt some dainty damsel in distress and can headbutt krogan without a helmet on for teh lulz and does everything male shep does (other than romances) in all likley hood femshep could probably flatten Vega if how hard she punches the shadowbroker in the face is

I'm getting the feeling the devs want to pretend Lazarus never happened or that Shepard was rebuilt exactly the way he was. Sadly nope. Shep will always be the super soldier to me. Giving him emotions does little to change how hardy he is.

Honestly I'd LMAO if Kai Leng (since he's pretty much Shep's dark mirror) was ridculously hard to kill as well, no bleeding no nothing during the fight with Shep. Shep eventually has to use a bomb and get the hell out of dodge. XD (and for extra lulz he's still moving after the bomb goes off.)

Except in ME2 you clearly see people with blood on their faces.  So that hard work could've been shown in the last game if they really wanted to show it.

And frankly instead of blood they should be working on that Zombie look in Shep's eyes. That's far more distracting. If they want to show off some work that's where it needs to be done.
