And I'm very sorry for what you're going through by reading some of these comments FoxHound109, it can not be comfortable seeing people react this way to a character you're similar to. But in my honest opinion, having seen the picture you posted in the For the Love thread you have nothing to worry about in the looks department ;D

LOL, I mean it's not killing me either! Not trying to be a drama llama. It's mostly a minor annoyance I took a little too far because sometimes I find it hard to start friendships because of it. Especially with other gamers because they assume I'm dumb and can't possibly just be a complete and utter nerd about everything.

And thank you! I'm gonna' go blush behind my computer screen now...

I guess that's why I'm annoyed at the whole "Vega looks dumb thing." You're going to laugh at me, but it took about five minutes from Vega's second pic releasing before about fifteen people told me I looked almost exactly like him (or vice versa since I've existed since 1986).

Right now, Vega isn't a person. Or even a character. To me, right now, Vega is a piece of art that was submitted to my critical eye and I found him wanting. I complain, because I'm going to pay money for that piece of art, and I feel like I should have some small say as to what my money is going to buy.

A lot of people found him wanting, and the lack of any sort of characterization, background information or even a facial expression allowed everyone to assume the worst about him, and now those feelings of scorn are now completely tied to his current appearance. First impressions are everything, and Bioware kinda dropped the ball by showing him off before he was ready for the spotlight.

You are paying for a video game, not just 1 character.


Also judging a book from it's cover is irrational.
Plain and simple.

Ha, ha! Thank you! And I have no idea: I just have it cut military style...as low as possible on the side and short on top. It's SO convinient!

I did once have a fauxhawk though, so LOL@ Vega having one.

Just popping in to say that I hope Bioware doesn't do anything to change how Vega looks. We need less "perfectly attractive" characters who look like they're at least semi-normal, given the circumstances. And no, Jacob was not normal; Cerberus.

Then I'd just see Casey in Vega. Then again... I don't think I'd mind that. Vega doing Baldwin's annoyed growl, from Chuck, at the only comical relief Joker would be kinda awesome.
