Well if someone manages to capture the idea I had of Vega walking through a war torn city, holding a rifle in his right hand and a kitten in his left, I would probably go nuts.

That... would be amazing. Back from a mission and suddenly you just hear "VEEEGAAAA!!!!" when Sgt. Whiskers has stalked someone.

So the guy that hosts the BiowareTV stuff is wearing a jacket with a bunch of ME patches and one of them is the same Sword-Lightning-Alliance logo from Vega's T-shirt and it def. says Special Forces on it.

So there goes the silly idea that he's completely naive newbie soldier who has no idea what to do.

There was never any doubt that he was a skilled soldier. He has been described as a seasoned Systems Alliance soldier from the start. He just has no knowledge of the Reapers and galactic politics. He's a soldier and that's about it, pretty much in the same fashion like Ash was in ME1.

Here there was no doubt but I've seen a few people moaning about how he'll be inexperienced and weak compared to everyone else since he's new. One even tried to claim the seasoned soldier line probably wasn't accurate anymore because it was from when he was still being called Sanders.
Mind you he didn't seem to care that everything else he was complaining about was from the same article.. <_<



And Sgt. Whiskers is totally an infiltrator.

I for one am extremely interested in how Vega will turn out. I really liked Jacob as a squadmate in ME2 because of the whole bro-hug and 'spilling drinks on the Citadel' speech. Character doesn't have to be complicated to be likable.

Good point! To me, I feel Jacob was lost in the crowd. By comparison of other characters, he was pretty normal. (Also didn't help the way femShep spoke with him. Felt damn awkward to me.)
Hopefully that doesn't happen with Vega. (But considering I'm already on board the Vega frigate *oh ho, word play* I know I'll be interested to see how his character develops as well.)

As for the kitten ... just go with the flow ...

I really liked Jacob too, despite his romance. He hates hospitals, which I completely empathise with. He was however all work, and no play, bringing me to my next thing..

I'm hoping Vega has a decent sense of humour. If he is a romancable, then Bioware has a history of serious male LIs in Mass Effect; Kaidan, Jacob, Thane, and I wouldn't mind a break. It he's not romancable, he'd better have a sense of humour anyway. Unless I'm alone in that line of thinking, in which case, meh.

That would be a nice change too ... I think that's why I actually went through with the Garrus romance - it  made me laugh. *I mean this in a good way Garrus fans!*

^^ I work at a pet store, I see weird critters constantly lol. At one point the fluffy animals weren't as cuddly as the scaly ones ... (got a dog and a rabbit, still love the fluffy guys, but new appreciation for the weird lol)
