I already had the idea lying around my computer. I just swapped one of my OC's out for Vega, added in Whiskers, and voila.

I really loved your take on Vega. Especially his personal history and training. I thought that was all really clever and well thought-out. And, of course, I adore Sgt Whiskers. Poor little guy needs to be made canon.

Technically, the first "James Sanders" fanfiction was a series of dirty limericks written over at the Mass Effect kinkmeme.

....but I think you might have snagged the first proper "James Vega" fanfic! And it was a very good fic, indeed! Vega couldn't have asked for a better debut.
