This is what I have been saying, he's rugged and Marines are manly heroes, best of both worlds. Faux-Hawks are sexy hair-do's no matter what anyone says!

I know right? I like that people hate on him (kinda lol I still am like HEY give him a chance) makes me love him more.

Any idea if there is a video with him in it? I've seen screenshots of him in a sneaking suit and I wanna see the vid for it.<3

Not the same old two people. Not quite sure if he's a romance option yet, but if he is, he doesn't look like the same-sex type (in fact, I don't think any human characters in the history of ME have been gay, sorry to burst your bubble.) LOL! That's a joke right?  Take a trip any of the gyms in Manhattan, San Francisco, Miami, etc. You'll see a multitude of guys that are as big as Vega, and even bigger that are most definitley the same sex type. LOL!

I saw a security guard in Edmonton that looked just like james vega... although I thought the design of james was kind of like a pig, this guy looked just like him, but he was really hot... like holy crap, this guy should be given an award, if james is this hot in the game... I might switch to him..

Actually, poor Ash never made it in any of my games being a girl and sucker for pretty boys I've always kept Kaidan. But I loved her character nonetheless and was sorry to kill her. She was simple, believable, pretty and strong, and an awesome soldier. Someone I would love to call a friend in RL.
I hope Vega is a soldier and as at least interesting as Ash was.

I think Vega is much better in a trailer than in his concept art. He is not pretty there either, but rather brutal. I don't know why, but he reminded me a bit of Sam Worthington in Terminator 4.

Ashley had to grow on me. It took a number of playthroughs before I warmed up to her. I always thought her poetry was irritating, and I wasn't particularly fond of her views on aliens. There were times where I thought she was out of line, so we definitely butted heads.

I'm interested in what Vega is going to be like. I'd like to think they'll give him a vastly different personality than Ash's. But whatever he's like, he'll obviously have to like kittens. <3 (because he'll be saving a lot. LOL)

Well, I've been working 8 days straight, and one day, a father strolled in who was bigger than Vega. Scared the heck out of me ... (he wanted a hamster, it was adorable.)
...
(If he wanted a kitten, I would've died. He got a fish instead. I pray Kelly feeds it ...)

Anywho, after playing Gears of War I can really safely say Vega looks NOTHING like those guys. Next to them his beauty would make your eyes bleed, I swear. So, no, I still don't see where that connection came from.


And, hate to be a downer, but, I don't think Sgt. Whiskers is that big of a meme to be in the game. I mean it's just between the regulars of this thread. (But I've been off this site for so long, what do I know?)

And I'm ok with Whiskers not being in the game. In my mind, Vega will always have a cat even if we never see it.

I don't see any reason to hate Jacob and I fell for his romance (if I made sure to mute when he says PRIIIZE) because... *sigh* :wub:

Then in the case of Carver, he's interesting even though he's irrational with his whining but at least he's not just another yes-man.

Oghren was funny until Awakening. DAA was far too OTT.

Lastly, Vega. We know nothing about him and yet he got all these dumb and unjustified hate. So I have to stick up for him. Oh and I like the new picture of him... Mmm Mmm MUSCLES.

No one touches Oghren's junk! Carver : I respect but his jealous attitude was a bit annoying, Jacob : I'm pretty neutral towards he works for Cerberus that's a - but he's honest about eveything and admits Cerberus is a bad bunch of folks so that's a +, and Vega I have nothing to go on but looks so no opinion though he could be what I kinda hoped Ash was gonna be : an apprentice. (*sigh* Ash is all spectrey now I'm so proud T.T)

Like some others I really hope he doesn't get into the final game looking like some of the pics, but that aside I don't have any issues with him...don't know much else about the guy. Aside from the fact that he's supposed to represent new players to the series in which case he'll be the kid at the table asking what a reaper is, why my shep has hideous facial scars, commenting about the abundance of non-humans on my crew only to eventually be put in the corner with a coloring book, some crayons, a sippy cup filled with apple juice and maybe some animal crackers...if he's good.
