A DH Mass Effect comic that doesn't suck is reason enough to get worked up.

But I will be fair and say that him being the person guarding Shepard's cell on the way to Earth is quite interesting. He also seemed to be something of a Shepard fanboy.

A little bit, maybe.  But it could just be respect/aptriotism/disgust with the media.  Hard to tell in such a short comic, but there's definitely a touch of that fanboy vibe.

Simple, it's our first look at the character we've heard about but have only seen a couple pictures of. The comic isn't meant to be stand alone story arc like Evolution, Redemption, or Invasion. It's more like one of the character trailers that were released before Mass Effect 2.

I would actually say that the other short story (inqusition I think?) was okay too. The one that dealt with Cpt. Baily.

True. I did not mean Shepard-fanboy in the sense that he has a high.school crush on Shepard. Just that he had a degree of respect towards him or her due to the commander's accomplishments and feats.

Also, as unlikely as I think it is going to happen. I would not mind playing through where the comic ended. The potential conversation with Vega could be very interesting. Now that Vega has an opportunity to talk with Shepard in person, he could question Shepard wether or not the news are true and he did murder 300.000 civilians and worked with Cerberus. Depending on how our Shepard responds, Vega might not be that much of a Shep-fanboy at teh end of the talk.

I also get the feeling that he might not be proud of something in his past, so that might be an influence with his personality.  I'm really curious as to how he will turn out in ME3 and I wanna hear his voice.  Maybe Vin Diesel (I kid, I kid)

I think Anderson knows we're going to get shafted during the trial, and he is bringing Vega as a backup plan. Anderson is one of the extreme few who actually believe that the reapers even exist, let alone are on their way.
