S/S romances on Mass Effect forums are not allowed until new info about it is released.
Not even romances in general are allowed outside of character fan support thread.

So please, don't discuss about it here.
It's still just speculation for him to be a romance, let alone S/S one too.

That embargo was only until E3. It's already E3 so....yeah people can talk about it again.

I could have, but I am neither a fan nor supporter of James Vega at this point.

I only want his haircut to be less stupid lookin'.

This is a matter important enough for its own group.

Also, this.

Talk here then?

So we can have at least some discussion here which Bioware can also notice?

The Give James Vega a Haircut group is like a think tank.  We will publish our findings periodically.  Speaking of that:  Initial research points to Mr. Vega's haircut being silly, making his character hard to take seriously.

I'll start by saying the haircut is not that damn bad. It's around the year 2183, peepoles!

Mohawks no longer = white trash.

...says the poster with the dancing avatar.

I like the haircut.  I was blissfully ignorant of its "bro" connotations until quite recently, but this new knowledge hasn't changed my opinion.

That said, I will reserve final judgment until more evidence is, well, evident.

You are clearly ignorant of the glory of Ron Swanson.  Also, he has the excuse of being drunk.  Had Mr. Vega been given this haircut by his buddies while he was passed-out drunk the night before the Reaper invasion, I could give him a pass too.  But I'm guessing he - while sober - actually consciously chose this look.  This is a problem.

My dislike of it has nothing to do with "bro" implications.

But then it may be too late!  BioWare changed Cassandra's haircut like five times before DA2 was released.  We must get Mr. Vega to the barber shop now!

I almost had to ask who Cassandra was.  What a memorable game.

At any rate, you won't find me joining your group.  You weren't the one behind the infamous "The Fro Must Go" for Jacob, were you?  No, I don't imagine that you were.

You might want to re-acquaint yourself with what a troll is.  I am posting here because it seems like a good place to find the following people:

* People who know who James Vega is
* People who dislike James Vega's haircut

I honestly do not believe his hair is serious enough an issue to get a rise out of anyone, hence, it is poor material for trolling.  At worst, this is solicitation and advertising for the group.  And regardless, worry not, I won't keep it up for that much longer.

I didn't know she had a name.

Though I would always recognize her as Templar Seeker.

I'm on BSN since April of 2010 so I'm not quite familiar with that.

I wonder if this is the same 'James' that was mention in Ash's e-mail before the first game? his last name was never mention right?

(It would add drama for those that have Ash with them and Shep cheated on her XD she can just hook up with James then.)

Looking forward to more info about this guy.

Even if your group isn't successful, you can take some small comfort in James' helmet. It looks like he'll wear a helmet for at least part of the game.

I feel sad for the person who thinks hair is not important to a character. I mean it's almost EVERYTHING to a character.

But that's not what the restriction was. It was until E3.  (and really we are not getting romance info at E3. That's not the sort of information given at that time).

Indeed, if toggle-able helmets return in a similar-to-ME1 way - that they can be put on or removed on a squadmate-by-squadmate basis, that would indeed partially "solve" this "problem."  At least during missions, that is.

Granted I'm not expecting success either.  It's partially tongue-in-cheek anyway.

I'm not expecting much of the success of both group and thread until we get more info about him.

The (admittedly very small) amount of info we have about this feller doesn't make me at all interested.

Vega, Bioware. You called him Vega and then you gave us some generic-ass space marine. Why make me hope he was going to be a dashing, roguishly sexy (and possibly bisexual) hispanic badass only to crush my hopes by giving us Flint Ironstag Blast Hardcheese Big McLargehuge?

I IMAGINED HIM WITH A PENCIL MOUSTACHE. You bastards.

No more Bi-sexual crap.

I agree.  This fad needs to stop.  Image IPB

I agree 100%.

No bisexuality.

Vega is only available to men. ;)

*Rephrase* No more Bi-Sexual or Gay crap; this trend must be over with.

If your waiting for that trend to be over, you'll be waiting a long time. And by long time I mean like...4,000 years - probably a lot more. Enjoy. :wizard:

Oh and I guess that means we can kick Liara/all Asari and Kelly off the ship. Sweet. I knew that Chambers **** was an assasin anyway.

1.) I don't support canon characters being changed from Straight to Bi or Gay (breaks lore)

2.) I don't support another Token Jenkins / Jacob - unless they are my ""Carmine"" so to speak.

3.) I don't support James Vega - I support James Sanders.

4.) Liara kind of doesn't count; and that was a canon thing so it makes sense at least.

5.) Kelly scared me to death; but I suppose hookers exist even in space Image IPB

The group wasn't exactly infamous.  At any rate, you just pointed out that I didn't know who Cassandra was.  I got her confused with Meredith.  Alas.

But I'm derailing us now.  Back to James.  How would you feel if he had a flexible build?  What I mean is, what if his available skills are different depending on who died on Virmire?  There have been no developer hints that this is what the case will be, but it's something to think about.
