Check out the video of Casey Hudson's demo with gametrailers showcasing a mission on Earth and click the 35 second mark.....

Clearly a Oculi shooting down what I guess is an Alliance fighter. This war just got a little tougher. I've noticed some on the forum have theorized how  many small mobile fighters could have an advantage against a Reaper's bulk and as Kal'Reegar  would say "kill it with bug bites". If however, the Reapers have brought a legion of Oculi with them it's safe to say this advantage (if there was any to begin with) will be nullified.

Just for clarification Oculi were the devices used to defend the Collector base and attacked the Normandy in ME2

What are everyone's thoughts on this revelation?

Not safe to say that at all.  I was rather unimpressed with the Oculus's combat capabilities in ME2.  It was too small and too poorly armed and, frankly, didn't demonstrate a huge mobility advantage over a frigate.

Even so, it does enhance the threat posed by the Reapers.

It was to be expected reapers had something akin to fighters or interceptors.

So, do you think Reaper "fighters" are actual individual Reapers, or just drones?

Fighters are smaller vessels.

Frigates, Cruisers and Dreadnoughts are the regular spaceships.

Probably just drones. They're far too small to be individual Reapers. Unless you've got some mother-Oculus somewhere and it's kind of a hive-mind thing they're got going on.

Off-topic: what's the deal with that kid? I kinda wanna tell Shepard just to move on for more important things. You're not gonna save many people by trying to get some kid out of a vent, mate. Move along.

"We'll have to destroy them ship to ship."
- Darth Vad... I mean, Harbinger.
