Probably something along the lines of "I was just following orders."

I'm only asking because people who make this kind of thread usually like to talk about stuff like that.

Shep: "Hey, sorry about the whole Horizon thing, I just felt compelled by some strange external force to say something really, really stupid! It's not my fault!"

How's Shepard going to apologise for how he treated the VS's on Horizon?

There will be no room for apologies when I use his face for my personal punching bag.

You showed up on Horizon working for a terrorist group after being "dead" for two years. How the hell did you expect him to react?
Haven't we had this fight before?
If he was a former squaddie alone, then he was perfectly within his right to be suspicious of you and leave. If he was a former LI, I'd think he'd give you a chance to explain before giving you the brush-off.
Fail on the part of the writing team, in my opinion.

Yeah, have to go with fail writing as the reason.
Within the game though, he didn't know you were dead for 2 years, only that you'd been spotted hanging out with terrorists - which was confirmed on Horizon. Also, he brought up that you didn't call/write in that time. Being dead is one thing, but you had the option of asking TIM for his whereabouts, so firing off a message saying "Hey, I'm alive, what's shakin'?" isn't completely unreasonable.

This, omg, a thousand times this. Shepard needs to apologize for Horizon, not Kaidan.Estelindis wrote...
If we slam Kaidan's response on Horizon as being badly written, let's at least admit that Shepard's was written awfully too. Really - Shep greets a former lover/friend who risked his life many times by Shep's side and has been through thick and thin with Shep... who mourned Shep after seeing the Normandy destroyed... gets nothing better than a chipper "How've you been?" It's woeful.
