I imagine that that data that her boyfriend (I forget his name) found is probably linked to stuff that happened in the books. It's tied to the Reapers some how. You can see a reaper in one of the images that pops up at the end of her LM.
She'll probably have just as big a part as Zaeed, maybe bigger? Kasumi was cool. Low on my favorites list, but still cool.

To many unanswered questions from Mass Effect 2. Like what happens to the information she keeps, can it get her in trouble? Can Shepard use it? Etc. Don't think she will be left out.

To be candid, I didn't use Kasumi beyond her recruitment and loyalty mission. But I really enjoyed her gossiping in her room with femshep - felt like a fun friendship rather than "oh, we are all here for the mission and are utterly dour and dedicated."
