There's been  some speculation regarding the consequences of saving the Collector Base at the end of ME2.
Due to some of the revealed info on ME3 -I'll not go into details for people who don't want it (yet)- it seems at first glance that the people who chose to purge rather than destroy the Collector Base are screwed, and that renegades are penalized.

I don't think that's what's gonna happen. What I think is that saving the base will reflect in how the ending sequence will play, assuming humanity (or the life as a whole) loses.

1. Scenario destroy the base: Humanity gets whiped out.

2. Scenario humanity is converted into Reaper(s).

What do the rest of you people think?

P.S. The post/topic may seem a little strange, but I'm in a hurry and I really wanted to post this.
