I just watched the following video from E3:

www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2011-mass-effect/7148707

And my reactio was pretty much this:

"WTF did I just watch? Not that it would have been bad, but wtf.. giant
generic enemy mecs and enemies in generic battle suits... the ****?

I thought that they were trying to make it best game in the sires.. and not this.. :|"

I mean really.. what is happening at BW? Did they somehow manage to lose all of their good staff members or what? (no offense)

I'm still looking forward to the game, but it seriously looks even more generic than 2.. and ME2 was already one of my biggest disappointments after the first game which was excelent..

And how were the enemies in ME 1 any more varied than what's been shown in 2 & now 3?

While some of the demos looked good (like the view of the reapers invading earth on the mission with Anderson) I kind of think that some parts looked a lot too much like bits from an unreal tournament/GoW game- such as the big battle mechs (which apparently you can control XD), the 'ground reapers' and the mounted machine gun thing. That stuff was a bit meh to me.

This. Enemies in ME1 were extremely generic, especially when they were in battle armor. (which was always.)

OP, you do realize they still have 8 - 9 more months of development ahead of them... right?

So what? Are you suggesting the Cerberus heavies and their Atlas mech will be taken out between now and next March?

And How is ME 2 any different, all Mercenaries seem to wear the same kind of Armor where as in ME1 the at least had the deceny to wear different armor types.

My thoughts exactely, i really didn´t like the part of the ground reapers and the machine gun :pinched:.

I really wish we could see some parts of the customization too and other kind of quests besides the main one.

Funny, because the enemies in ME1 were generic...

"THE ENEMY IS EVERYWHERE!" x9000
"I WILL DESTROY YOU!" x9000

...and all they wore were casual clothes or generic battle armor. At least now, maybe, there will be different kinds of armor for different kinds of enemies.

It kind of reminds me of a metal gear mech it's huge! I don't mind it right now I'll have to fight it and see how similar the two mechs are if its too similar in fighting style to a metal gear then I'll feel like they just ripped it off that series. But the fact we get to pilot one of those giant makes it fun.

As far as failberus troops looking the same they're cannon fodder so I'm cool with that.

Looks better than what the other two games could offer.

And really, everyone is bringing out the big guns.

I'm playing to save the galaxy from semi-organic/semi-synthetic sentient starships that harvest races as a form of procreation to continue their weird ass cycle.

I don't personally care, nor want to see every face of every merc or mutated abomination I have to kill along the way. It's not as though ME2 or ME 1 had any unique faces slapped on there for merc group #533.

Helmets, silly armor, or husk, they are just fodder to get me through to the next big boss fight.
