A lot of things got ruined for me in ME2 cause I checked videos online or read articles on speculation that ended up
being true.Seeing Garrus again would have been a lot better if I didn't already know all about that mission before I
played it.Getting Legion was supposed to be the big OMG moment of ME2 but we could all tell it was happening especially if we read the achievements.Okeer could've been a what did I do wrong moment but most of us knew we were getting that big Krogan in the tank.So after E3 I'm going to try a blackout on anything ME3 related. No online videos, no forums, and not even any new trailers cause even the final ME2 trailer showed every single squad member.Anyone else going to try this?

That's the plan. Chance of success is... slim.

Good luck, but I doubt it's going to happen.

Considering what's been shown so far, I don't think anyone needs to - there's very little spoiler information and almost NO mechanics/RPG information being given off, much less story.

The only thing I'm doing is a forum blackout. Pre ME2 some douchenozzles started spamming these forums with threads that had massive spoilers in the titles and that total ruined the second half of the story for me.

Its the rational thing to do. It's getting annoying for me to obsess over a game that will be out in 9 months, even if it is ME3.

So now I'm going to focus on other things, with my backed up saves safe for when ME3 is out.

I'll be back on here AFTER I've played ME3.

Yeah, I'm riding the E3 train. After that, though, I will TRY not to look at anything Mass Effect 3 related. x.x
We'll see how that goes...

I'm going to try. I didn't get into the Mass Effect series until last spring so I wasn't concened with Mass Effect 2 until I was playing it. It's going to be a lot harder for me to try and ignore ME3 since ME has since become one of my favorite series of all time.

Nah. I intend to seek limited spoilers early on anyway to ensure it's a game I want to buy before I thrown down my cash for it.

But I guess that's just me. People think I'm weird because I can read and re-read books over and over still enjoy them every time, for example.

I started my blackout this morning...I went back on about 10 minutes ago. Its going to take a man with better self control then myself to stay away from Mass 3 info and the forums.

I'm going to try now that I've ordered my collector's edition. I want surprises for once! I spoiled DA2 for myself :(

After E3 is done I think I'll just avoid the ME forums all together. Like someone said above me one week before ME2 was going to come out some jerks spoiler the game.I don't want that to happen with this one since it's the end of Shepard's tale.

I've given up in advance, but I'll *try* to avoid it the last week or so before release, even if with a global release date as this one seems to have, the spoiler risk is less than it was for DA2.

My goal is to find me a game that is addictive enough so I wont be eager to look at the news for ME3... Definitely a very challenging thing for me to do...

I am going to try and do a light blackout, because I know I wont be able to not read about ME3 until it's released.

Oh, by Soverign's asshair... Euro release date march 9th according to the bioware tv dude, so no global release. In that case, final week blackout is on for sure.

This. However, after having devoured spoilers like there was no tomorrow before DA2 I know what they can do to your first playthrough experience. So maybe this time around I will succeed sliiightly more.

Blackout for me. I got plenty of other games to keep me occupied til then. Not to mention tv shows to watch, books to read. I may even try to get a girlfriend if I run out of things to do. :P

I'm at the point where I'm just about convinced to give ME3 a pass entirely, based on my disappointment with ME2 and my lack of confidence based on what we've seen so far (not a criticism, per se: I'm perfectly aware that I'm a distinct minority in disliking ME2, and I know it has more to do with own tastes and preferences than any real objective failure of the game itself). But I'm an old-school BioWare fan, so in desperation I'm sure I'll be paying attention up to the release date and looking for a reason to change my mind.
