Poor fan service at E3 (Edit: Foot in mouth! Thank you Bioware, for lifting my RPG concerns)

Wow, just watched the IGN gameplay and heard Casey say grenades were new to ME3, which would imply to the uninformed that they were new to the series. Wake me up when they show the weapon mod systems or some RPG stuff. I'm outtie 5000 till then.

Kind-of unrealistic that everything would be done by now.

You know what I'm talking about. RPG fanatics who dismiss anything that doesn't conform to a narrow band of what a RPG should be. The nuts on RPG Codex for example. The kind who think shooters are mindless and are only played by the single digit age range while 'deep' and 'complex' RPGs should be left to those with brains bigger than their skulls. Or egos.
Yeah, I figured you meant something like that.
I don't really disagree . Hell, I somedimes drop by the Codex just to get into fights.

Well sounds like somebody was listening! Jesse showed the weapon mod system and the powers upgrade screen on the live demo. It looks like there are around 7 or 8 choices now and when you get to the point of upgrading the choice, you get more choices such as improved headshot, more weapon damage, increased chance of passing checks with your renegade or paragon level, etc. They are showing the galaxy map too.
Did you watch this on a site? - if so could you link it please?

Yes, it was another fanservice.
Ps: I have nothing against said characters, and I do understand Bioware's choice: it gives more money, so why don't we do it?

Sorry for freaking out on you too early in the game. You guys really came through with the menu/customization reveals today. My passion for the Mass Effect series can cause me to behave irrationally, so I hope you will forgive me. Great fan service with the Q&A, and great job showing the epicness that is ME3! I'm sure there will be a lot of new fans as a result.
Sincerely,
Someone who is preordering the collectors edition right now

You know I dont wanna be a dick but I will say I told you so. However with the nice change in title and addmission of foot in mouth I do have to applaud you.
And yes, totally thinking of the collectors edition, well the Digital deluxe.
As for something totally random, anyone know if the Q&A is on the youtubes? I missed it

Haha hey, you have every right to. And I'm happy to admit when I'm wrong, especially when I REALLY don't want to be right. You have to remember that the scar Dragon Age 2 left is still pretty fresh. I followed that disappointment time bomb all through development and got it day 1.

Well, they are. ME2 didn't have them, and ME didn't have real grenades (they have wonky physics; they do damage but don't displace enemies).

I made an account once with the DA2 furor (pre-release) to see how crazy and outlandish I could be (in terms of the claims I made) without getting called out. Turns out, even the most outlandish and borderline eugenics position I can come up with is the general concensus there (natural selection suggests only the intelligent can play and want to play RPGs), which says something about either me or the Codex.
