No, no, didn't you hear what he said? He said, "Go outside, you'll get lotsa sexing."
I'm guessing 13-14 range
Sex should look like it did in ME1

Anyway, ME1 style is fine, with unique scenes catered to each character.

You have misunderstood a lot about how
they approch relationships in TW2, which is different than what many
Bioware fans clearly want. Triss is actually canon, unlike what we get
in Mass effect.
You have misunderstood my meaning. I am not saying that Triss and Geralt don't have a canon romantic history or romantic relationship. I totally get that. In fact, I went into the game expecting that. I didn't get it. What I am saying is that CDPR did an awful job of showing their relationship to me, and I hope that Bioware looks to that as an example of what not to do.
Estelindis wrote...
Indeed not, but that's a somewhat derogatory term for what I prefer to call role-playing. It would be head-fanfic if there were no grounds for it at all, but that's not so. Again, I'm not saying there couldn't have been a better connection between the characters, but I believe it's wrong to say there was none. You see it in little moments like when Triss mentions someone in the inn in Flotsam proposed to her and Geralt objects, for instance.
Except Geralt doesn't object. He just says "And here I thought Roche's boys had an ounce of respect for me" and he says it in a joking tone, just like a brother would say to his sister.
The thing about it that bothers me isn't that fanfiction is necessarily a bad thing, but that it is no substitute for real content. I can totally make up a head fanfiction romance between Hawke and Aveline, and have a playthrough where Aveline stays single, and in my head fanfiction, they get together. However, that doesn't mean that there's a real relationship in the game, it's that I made stuff up because the developers didn't.
I don't want to have to fill in the blanks in my head to make the relationship work, if the developers tell me there's supposed to be a relationship there. That's me doing their jobs for them, because they did an awful job of it.

I have to agree with slim here. People are having a discussion about something thats going to be in ME3, and has been in the games in the past. Some people were just unhappy with the changes made in the ME2 romance department. Comments like this come across as a teenager who just got their first boyfriend/girlfriend and feel the need to talk down to everyone else because of it.
Plus, i dont think anyone is arguing for seeing explicit sexual scenes. Nudity isn't even necessary if the romance is done well as seen with LotSB. Just as a game that is rated mature, there shouldn't be any apprehension on the developers part about the content they put in. This isn't just limited to sex either.

6, actually.(/sarcasm, come on guys dont get worked up) Nah but some people seem to want games to be porn. I dont want taht, I have no problem with sex scenes but whats wrong with them showing a bit, fading to black and then having the aftertalk?

Except that I interpreted it as the joking tone of a lover who feels completely unthreatened by anyone trying to compete for Triss's affection, because he knows he has it. This doesn't mean my interpretation is head-fanfic and yours is right. It just means we read the material differently and each of us is right from the point of view of our own experience.hoorayforicecream wrote...

Apparently, it worked for them. Don't get me wrong I've had a few threads like this one back a ways. I fully support more mature scenes and those who don't I don't get them. You do have to activly persue a romance to see it, I say why not reward those efforts? Pants on dry humping is just facepalm worthy just like Fable fade outs. Makes me feel like my parents are sitting next to me and then as soon as something comes on they don't think I should see they cover my eyes.

And I find it sad that this is probably the best example of romance outside of the sex scene between the two in the game.

Fox News also killed all the unicorns, banned fairies and is the cause behind global warming.
The reason sex sucked in ME2 was because Liara, Ash & Kaiden weren't your choices.
They obviously understand that sex is better with no clothes

I had thought Triss was always deeply in love with Geralt. I get the feeling that Geralt used to be too, before he lost his memory. This might not of just affected his relationship with her, but also who he is as a person. I always thought of Geralt as still unsure about things that are going on, like the wars, people trying to kill him, his mixed feelings for getting some memories back of Yennefer, and hes trying to sort it all out. Triss just seems like the 'cool' type of girlfriend that is giving him his space until he does. To her, nothing has changed, but i think it would be kind of weird for Geralt to forget her completely and expect to just carry on their relationship like nothing happened.

<_< No. Bioware is smarter than that. But my point is... well, how much do you really have to see? There's... artwork sites for that stuff, lol. For the record, I'm fine with ME1-style or ME2-style.

i don't think you can really sum it up that way... i think you have to make it meaningful enough to feel (lol) satisfied after the scene. yes that came out wrong but you understand you have to feel immersed enough in the moment you know.
just think back to ME1.... it works for this reason

I think people have been making too many references to The Witcher games.
ME1 was the happy middle ground. Bioware should shoot for that in ME3.
