I reeeeally hope Jack is a permanent squadmate. I need another good biotic on my team and I feel like I didn't get to know anything about her since I didn't romance her. I'd like to see her open up to Shepard's friendship like she opened up to a romanced Shepard.

It is worth another playthru, 9 months is ample time. Her romance is one of the most satisfying in my opinion.

That said, I am all for her being a permanent squaddie, although I have a bad feeling about it. We shall see..

Wasn't it a rogue cell that was experimenting on her without TIM's knowledge? No doubt BioWare will have forgotten about that though.

As Jack pointed out (if you take Miranda with you for Jack's loyalty mission), they didn't say WHAT they were hiding from TIM, just that they were hiding something from TIM.  They could have been talking about spending Cerberus funding on hookers for all we know.  When EDI's blocks are removed after the suicide mission we also find out that there are very few active Cerberus operations at any given time precisely so TIM could keep an eye on each one personally.  I find it hard to believe that TIM didn't have a pretty good idea of what was going on at that facility.

Agreed. TIM seems like the kind of smug ******* who's always lying through his teeth. He knew what he was doing.

Romance her though, do her loyalty quest and you really start to see those cracks that have formed and see who she is. Its just a shame you really only got that through the romance side of it.
Can't wait to see the rest of her character fleshed out in ME3.

This is a fact.  I romanced all female characters with my maleshep and Jack was my favorite, most emotional and final.  I am really hoping she can be a squadmate.

Realizing his mooks are useless, TIM sets up some trap to take you prisoner instead of just trying to kill you by brute force (he has deceived you before), after which they get you in a shuttle, (you'd be imprisoned in some sort of tech biotic yadda yadda field like the one we see in Purgatory), in order to take you to a Cerberus station where TIM is waiting to butcher your body, the same way he was interested in Grunt and Legion; after all, your body is full of advanced-maybe irreplaceable-technology. The shuttle is rammed by Jack's pirate gang. They kill everyone except one guy so he can tell the flight control codes to the security personnel to get the shuttle into the station. She helps you wreak havoc in that mission. Then you split ways because of her current crew and because she isn't really into the shiny world saving hero thing.

I'd like it if someone former squadmate saved you from an impossible situation. Might as well be Jack.

i can be cool with jack showing up to "rescue" me at some point.

but only if the following dialogue can happen.

*jack shows up*
Shep: "what are you doing here?"
Jack: "you seem to be in trouble and i thought i'd come and save you"
Shep: "**** you sound like a *****"
Jack "<_<"

Me too.  I made a MaleShep so I could romance the girls.  Normally, I prefer to play female character.  Jack was definitely my favorite; the best romance arc of them all.

The funny thing about Jack is that even though she herself is pretty much a renegade character her story arc fits so well for those that play their Shepards as paragons especialy if you romance her with a paragon male Shepard. I remember when she was first marketed a couple of years ago before ME 2 came out I didn't think I would like her but I was suprised by how much her character has grown on me.

You and me both, pal!

Jack, Kasumi, and Mordin are the only squadmates I never get sick of (and in ME1, Wrex). Every other squaddie, I can only do about three missions at most before needing to mix it up a bit.

I'm excited about getting Kaidan again (or Ashley in other two careers) but the party doesn't start 'til Jack gets back.

I'm thinking more along the lines of crew cut. Not too long. Believable length if she has been letting her hair grow for two months.

I'm hoping her new armor is a stylized version of the light armor Shepard could wear in Mass Effect 1. Kind of like a biker outfit but it's armor.

I am hoping non romancing manShep to have more dialog with his male and female squad too...I really don't like the dialogs being cut short cos Shep's single.

Unfortunately, Jack died in my "canon" playthrough.

It will be interesting to see if Jack (or any dead crew) get some sort of reference in ME3. It would be kinda disappointing if they didn't.
