Keeping the collector base for cerberus -> Correct choice?

3/4 of my sheps destroyed the base but I think that I prefer that Cerberus will attack me with crazy and monstruous creatures if I keep the base for them.

I somehow find that more exciting than having a "weaker" enemy for the conclusion of the trilogy.

Thoughts?

it doesen't really matter if YOU kept the base or not ..Cerberus still uses the base ...the 3rd book of the series Retribution deals with this ( if you destroy the base Cerberus uses the pieces that remain after explosion...if you keep it they just use it ) so eitherway Cerberus uses the reaper tech

A. Finding a way to stop the Reapers.
B. Validating your decision on the Collector Base.

I think I just found out why Cerberus seems to be attacking you.
Check out this video.

After fighting some Cerberus blokes, Shepard blurts out "They're indoctrinated." (At 2:01 - 2:02 somewhere.)

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, so if it has, my apologies.

I have just been thinking about the Collector station. I have both kept and destroyed the station on a few occasions. On my first playthrough I kept it. I was thinking at the time that there is no need to worry about the Illusive Man because my Shepard isn't intimidated by him in the slightest. We can sort him out later, if the need arises.

It was more a decision based on "I'm sure there is value in keeping it, and what about the tech?". Now, I am contemplating the situation a bit more carefully. When I have finished I'm sure I'll have more to say on the subject.
