Tallis doesn't look nearly as inhuman as the other elves. I would have preferred that.
As for giant-breasted female elves that the OP suggested? No. Given what was already in DA, that would look like t&a for nothing more than t&a's sake. We've had enough done to the series to try to reach such audiences to the detriment of the series' story and maturity.
I like the idea that male elves look slightly less masculine and female elves look less-endowed than typical teenage-fantasy human women. There needs to be a noticeable difference rather than just knife-ears, but I think that going mutant like the second Dragon Age was a bit much. It made the attraction between Human and Elf seem a bit deviant to me.
This is how the elves should of looked like (females)

Talis has a giraffe neck. Its twice as long as a human neck. As for the endowed bits..well, i am sure some elves are busty, and some arn`t. But romancing Merril, who looks like a 12 year old girl, just wasn\\ t for me.

I'd still take the detail of the Falmer of Skyrim over anything from DA2. They all look like they were made from pizza dough. Even Merrill and Fenris.
These are not the prettiest elves in Skyrim, of course. But a good example of detail.

Funny that the Falmer look closer to DA2 elves. Even the hands are very similar.
