yea not seeing it. Different nasal structures (Na'vi have cat-like noses and their foreheads extend down and become their nose, whereas elves have normal style noses that just extend into their forehead).
The eyes are similar to a human's eyes. The forehead isn't all that different from a human's either. Don't believe me? Well, I've seen plenty of people with foreheads like that.
The Na'vi ears jut out at a higher height and do so in an upwards fashion. Elven ears jut out where normal ears do and do so in a sideways fashion.
I wonder if people realize the Na'vi were eventually designed to have human characteristics

I actually really like how Merrill looks in DA2, the generic ones however were a bit too 'knife-ear'y for my aesthetic taste.
ok luke sorry for double post... But now they hem ugly.. Even merryl have the most horrible body i ever seen..They should be fixed and i can suggest a way.. Did you remember Aerie in baldours gate 2? Well this is a valid shape from my point of wiew... If you must make them seems more aliens.. But like in dragon age 2 not.. The elves in dragon age 2 merryl included are just ugly.. Merryl per se have a nice eyes but too much bigger.. Infact it seems a mantid.. The flat nose ruin most of theyr faces.. And merryl body shapes is.. disturbing.. when i romanced her and i seen her with that corset on bed...

I haven't seen that other thread so dunno. It may be the custom armour/appearance but on the other hand it also easily could be difference caused by slope of the surface the characters are standing on (the mesh they use for collision is separate from the visible level geometry, so in quite a few places what looks like even surface doesn't have to be)Filament wrote...
According to some other thread I was reading, they do have height differences. Maybe not baked into the character itself, but into their unique armor?

I hate how people compare the elves to the Na'vi..... I just don't see how people can see that aside from the lithe body structure, which they were described in Origins to have anyway (Codex, Sten, etc...)
Umm..yeah. Cough.

I CONSTANTLY see everywhere the "should of", "I of to" and the like.
Is this some kind of obscure rule in english where "have" can be replaced by "of" ?

Shiny, scantily-clad anime-inspired elves kind of don't fit within our setting, don't you think? The ones in the image are kinda creepy, in a "be one of us, Gerald" kind of way.

Um, comparing the proportion of... well, anything, neither part is actually similar. For one, the Na'vi have a nose taking 50 percent of their ugly face.[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]
Apart from that, you're comparing one elf of how many?

Sure there are, the hairline, the eye shape, the cheekbone, the ears, the forehead itself.DahliaLynn wrote...
Actually they are very similar, in that, the nose bridge has little or no indentation, meaning, the nose extends directly from the forehead (marking the major difference between Elves/Na'vi and Humans). They are also similar in the fact that the Iris is also enlarged. Other than that, there is little difference between the two facially aside from the nose width.

Elves just need to be tinkered with again. Perhaps there are different ethnicities that would account for the various (DA:O, DA2 and DA3) elves? That's a neat idea.
