so some demons are apparently possesed bodies/corpses, others are the incarnate of themselves in the real world

how would the darkspawn taint affect them

They probably can, considering Justice is a Grey Warden. Then again, he possessed a corpse that already was a Warden. I don't think the Joining would work on a corpse, though, so unless a Grey Warden is possessed, I doubt it would work.

According to Avernus, the darkspawn taint is foreign to demons and can be harnessed as a weapon against them in a way that blood magic, a gift from demons, could not be.

He said it in a way that implied that it was only a good weapon because they didn't understand it, whereas they know evetything about blood magic.

I didn't mean to imply otherwise. It's just the one place in the lore where the possible effects of taint on demons is explicitly mentioned, so I thought I'd toss it out there.
